We should just bring Hughes in in the 2nd inning for each start!

Is Ian Kennedy gonna keep pitching, including in the playoffs, or are they shutting him down for the year now that his inning count is getting high?

Kennedy will keep pitching as long as they need him. IMO he's a sure bet for the postseason roster. Question is who among Moose, Kennedy or Hughes gets the 4th rotation spot. I think Kennedy has pitched the best recently.

Another poster thought they were going to shut him down soon b/c they didn't want him to pitch so many total innings in one season at the age of 21

I'm going to the game tonight and was looking forward to seeing Kennedy pitch. A little disappointed that Mussina is going. He better not lose.

Joe's going w/a 6 man rotation for now... they're also going to keep a careful eye on Kennedy's innings the rest of the way... he's had a full minor league season already, unlike Hughes & Joba.

Cleveland wins, Toronto wins, Yankees win.

Boston's lead is down to 2.5 games. (If only we didn't have the relapse against Beckett, we'd be only .5 games behind)

2 games in the loss column & gaining fast... i predicted the Sawx would go on a losing streak after that tough loss to close out the Yankee series, & sure enough, they're about to get swept by the Jays.

I am loving it. The sux don't have manny, but this is a norm for manny to take time off during the year, he is really a miserable ball player, great, great hitter, undiciplined athlete it seems tho. Anyway now lets see how the sox play with the mounting pressure. So far francona let gagne bury his team tonight, I hope he keeps making coaching mistakes...

i was at the yankee game tonight. sat in the bleachers (as usual).

in the 8th inning, a guy had mlb pitch by pitch on his phone. when the jays tied it at 2, section 37 and 39 went crazy.

then they showed the 4-2 score on the scoreboard and everybody went NUTS (with journey's don't stop believin' playing on the PA system). a huge boston sucks chant. what a crazy night of baseball.

Someone named "soxluva" is on the Red Sox board trying to calm everyone down, saying that everything is fine and how the only reason the Sox have been almost caught is because of injuries since they played so great during a stretch in the middle of the season. Now he's droning on about how many good young players the Sox have.

ah yes, injuries... i suppose the Yankees didn't have to deal w/injuries at all this season... they only used about 30 different starting pitchers this season, but who's counting?
