Yeah kool-aid drinkers sure don't see 100% their way. Only those who disagree with you are not reasonable right.

This team is just bad. How much simpler can it get? The GM is a joke, and so are a good half of his players.

But no, its the freakin fans.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

Marbury is such a bitch sitting there with his towel while we tryna make a come back.. **** him seriously

PS. I like Francis, i dont care if hes not the BEST player.. the dude cares and he tries.

Ain't that the truth...Francis is at least playing with heart and passion.

I would start Francis, Craw, Q, Lee and Curry. The bench of Nate, Balkman and Frye. When jefferies comes back, let him anchor the 2nd unit with even more D.

Marbury is an embarrasment to his family and himself.

IT's biggest mistake the last 3 years has not been trading for Marbury, it has been standing by him. Time to cut the cord!

Oh and Balkman is an AMAZING player. If he ever develops a shot, he is going to be incredible! Trevor who?

I absolutely thing the corporate fans are fairweather. but do you think they boo as loud as the true fans cheer? I don't think so.

I don't think the real fans are cheering at the start of the game. I think they hate Marbury and Isiah and Curry and are frustrated and then they cheer Nate, Dlee and Balkman. But I still believe we'd be better at home with fewer boos.

We had 25 turnovers tonight, I'd love to see the home/road split on our turnovers.

tom, I admire your attempt to reason with those that can't be reasoned with.

Hence the problem with the state of Knick-fandom.

It's not a type of mafia...

It's a radical fundamentalist state of mind, where EVERYTHING is either 100% one way or 100% the other way. Gray areas only exist in the minds of so-called "kool-aid" drinkers.

Tom he means it's hard to accept people have different opinions.

Nice, so the fans are helping us not to turn the ball over eh. Maybe the fans should start at PG.

when you add in tonight, it's 16 T/o's at home. hmm, ah well, I thought that might be telling, guess not.

We are 4-4 on the road because we happened to play the Grizzlies w/out Gasol, and got really lucky against Denver. We could easily be 2-6 on the road and 1-6 at home. Or 3-6 and 3-6. Or something else.
We have not played enough games to make the sweeping generalizations you are making.

something is up with Marbury. I don't know what, but this is weird.

I am happy to see Francis playing hard.

This team really needs a focus on the court. It would be nice if guys like Steph, Francis or Jamal provided that, but so far none of them have been able to consistently do that. What I don't understand is that last night they saw how to make this offense work better and tonight they just refused to run the offense. It's crazy!!!! Jamal got caught making dumb plays again. Francis I think just tried to do too much. i'm not as upset with him, cuz he did a LOT to help this team tonight. He just picked a bad time to make a mistake. BUT he was actually TRYING to win the game.

One thing I noticed that I didn't like was what Steph did when he came in the game. His body language was horrible. He was making the initial pass as he should, but THEN he would just come to a stop and didn't do anything after that. He just gave up on the set. No more motion or hustle to get the ball back if he saw the play faltering. He just let his arms hang and you could clearly see that he was saying, you just want me to pass OK... That's NOT what I want to see from this guy.

If we had Steph actively involved in the games, along with Francis, I think that would really help this team. From what I saw tonight he didn't want any part of that. I don't blame the loss on him, cuz clearly to start the game there was equal bad play from everyone, but later in the game when the team was getting into it, he didn't do enough to help us win.

it's a small sample size, but it's pretty obvious just watching them that the starters, at least, play much differently at home.

it's not the most scientific thing, but I think it's a big part of the problem right now.

another way of saying it is that if those close games in Memphis and Denver were at the Garden, they probably would have lost them right now, because of their mentality there.

You just proved my point here.

The fact is that it isn't THE fans, but being booed so quickly -- as has been the case this season -- certainly can't help them play better. Anyone who thinks otherwise is basing it on unsubstantiated data, or a "hunch." Of course, in the cliche filled, everything is one way or the other world of some Knick fans that means the team is a bunch of pansies who don't "deserve" to be Knicks. And so goes the endless cycle...

What is this "excuse" thing? Seriously. Are you saying that the booing of the fans, whether it's justified or not, has no effect on the team's play at home?

If so, how do you explain the enormous disparity between home and road records?

If not, why is it an "excuse" to point out a legitimate causal factor in the Knicks' poor home play?

This is the stupidest post of the year nominee. Blame it on the fans--Ive heard it all now! Let me see--- from first hand experience of going to over 500-600+ Knick home games in my life--NY Knick fans are VERY fair and waiting for ANY flickering light to turn on for the team. The Knicks cant go down 15 points at home every game and hope that fans paying a lot of money arent going to get antsy and angry at periods. The Knicks play well-the fans are behind them--the Knicks play like sht--fans let them know about it. Stop making excuses as this one takes 10 cakes!

Tom this a great point. Some of the players here have fragile mindstates (namely, Curry, Marbury etc) Boing doesn't help, it seems to make them tight in pressure situations (notice the air ball by Curry while standing in no-mans land at the freethrow line).

It would be nice for a change to see the fans try to pick up the team when they fall down rather than jump on them.

You guys want a legitimate causal factor?

When the Knicks play with no heart and don't give an effort worthy of the highest ticket prices in the league, fans boo.

When the Knicks play with passion and great effort, the fans cheer wildly.

Fans boo because the Knicks stink. The Knicks don't stink because the fans boo.

So you say booing is whats hurting them at home based on a hunch, and saying that I'm wrong for saying that it is not the reason they are loosing because I don not provide you with data. Nice. Real nice. You should take up politics.

it's a good post luva, but sadly it's representative of soooo many of our games since January, 1, 2005.

and you are so right we need a focal point, leader, and go-to guy.

Hmm. Today's fascinating topic: Which came first, the stinking or the booing?
