WTF, LEE I give up. The Robinson pick made sense if Isiah was going to take a GOOD big man prospect at 30. I can't believe it, Blatche was there, Taft was there.....not happy at all right now. I'd rather have freaking Mohammed than David Lee though I wouldn't have said the same thing if we picked Blatche.

David Lee

He had a great camp and impressed a lot of people. Even Isiah himself did mention him as someone he liked out of the camp. Not a suprising pick for me.

Channing Frye
Nate Robinson
David Lee

So far, looking at these, I'd rather have kept Nazr Mohammed, Vin Baker, and Moochie Norris over these guys.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Very strange 30.

Kinda changes the impact of the whole draft. Unless we get Taft at 53.

G'night

You win . The most ridulous comment of the night so far. I rather have blatche than lee but are you serious??
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

I was exaggerating. But seriously, this is the worst drafting job I've seen in quite a while. Frye shouldn't have been a lottery pick. Nate doesn't fit our team. Lee was picked while there was clearly better (and more necessary to our team) players available.

How is this odd? lee is a great athlete, won the HS dunk contest 4years, he has a high bball IQ, he can jump, finish around the hoop, is a good player. The type of player you find on good teams. this guy is a player... Good draft..

Isiah is clearly basing his picks on EXPERIENCE.

In fact that recent NY Times article suggested that assessing players who have 2 or more years experience in college is better than High School players. Isiah took college vets who he must think will transition easier into the NBA than the younger cats.

Is it as sexy as picking Bynum, Green and Taft? (which we could have had) Will it work? I dunno, but it's certainly SAFE.

Safe picks get you to a .500 team. Safe picks don't get you a championship.

As Taft sits and waits...what would you guys think of Frye, Robinson, Lee, and Taft at 54?

From Yahoo Sports

The deal moved closer to completion as the Suns picked Washington point guard Nate Robinson with the 21st overall selection, with the intention of sending him to New York with Richardson. New York would send Kurt Thomas, the 6-foot-9 power forward who has been playing center for the undersized Knicks, to Phoenix along with the No. 54 pick.

Very unlikely they'll be available at #54.

So that's it. Damn Taft, you must really suck. See you at FA camp.

I have a feeling this is true. They haven't officially announced it yet. Maybe waiting after the 54th pick.
