MLE-Antonio Daniels
line up
c- Nene 6-10 260
PF Boozer 6-8 270
SF Granger 6-9 225
SG Daniels 6-4 210
PG Marbury 6-2 200
C Thomas 6-9 235
F Taylor 6-9 260
F Ariza 6-8 200
G Krauser 6-2 200

I fixed the heights above...

alright, that I would do, but that's asking a lot. also, for someone who has issues with height, we all know Boozer is 6'8" at best. He has long arms, but he's short. I'd do those trades for Granger and Nene though. I agree Daniels is someone this team should really focus on with the MLE - no matter what happens in the draft.

Damn Briggs, Nene grew like 2 inches, and Boozer grew too. Granger drunk some milk too. Sorry I am looking at a team where Ariza could possibly be the tallest player. I liked your team a hell of a lot better when you had Bynum in there. This team could be even worst than the one we have now. Marbury and Taylor are your best offensive weapons on that team.

Granger is going to be one of the best players in the draft. And he's a legit 6'8.5", which makes him a 6'9" in the NBA. I'd love any Knicks team with Granger on the wing.

i don't think i would do that trade, Briggs.

It's interesting to think that Marvin Williams could be picked at #2 but at the end of the day, i'd have to turn that offer down.

2-1 means sht. This team should be built back up with big physical athletes who play both sides of the ball with tenacity. Channing Frye and Jamal Crawford are fancy pants finese players, that doesnt win in the nBA--it can look pretty, but you wont accomplish the bottom line.

I guess my whole perspective is I think that the core team is a POS and Im not happy with just throwing some pieces over it.

Even if they cant do something like this, go get me Boozer and Granger if they dont want to take HS guys. Go get me physical tough athletes--

If they can do Sweetney Thomas+8 for Boozer Bell and 6, go do it. Atleast I know with Boozer Granger and Bell that i would be getting back tough physical athletes who can really play.

then back it up with a Jamal Crawford and pick 30 to Denver for Nene and pick 20 and take Bynum there. Denver is in the hunt for a SG and they can refill their back up PF position with pick 22

that would add

7-2 280 Bynum
6-11 260 Nene
6-9 270 Boozer
6-8 225 Granger
6-5 210 Bell

thats a shake up.

Briggs, I love your trade idea but didn't you say in one of your posts a few weeks ago "Marvin 'Tim Thomas' Williams"? I think Marvin is going to be great but I just don't know why you had the change of heart.

Other than that I agree 100% with the fact that we need two way players. This team lacks leadership, defense, and toughness. We don't have one leader on this team and we don't have one guy who is an above average (let alone great) defender. Ariza is the closest thing we have and we need to continue to add guys like that. We don't have one shotblocker or perimeter defender that is capable of shutting somebody down when we need a stop.

Look at the Suns. People say they don't play defense but Marion and Amare are two of the top 15 defenders in this league. Joe Johnson and Q Richardson are good on the perimeter as well. They are like UNC this year -- they gave up alot of points because of their uptempo style but they still get after people and get stops when they need them. Now, the reason the Suns aren't in the Finals is because they still have a long ways to go in terms of defense to catch up to Detroit, Miami, SA.

If we don't do the trade, drafting a guy like Granger may be our best bet. If he can stay healthy he is going to be a terrific 3. Put him next to Ariza and we drastically improve because we'll have some perimeter defense.

I would do this trade myself, because I don't like Crawfford style of play....he is not an accurate shooter, and most of all, doesn't have a clue about basketball...
