Okay, there've been a ton of threads about this, so let's see what the site consensus is: who do YOU want the Knicks to pick? Bynum by a landslide? Frye? One of the swingmen?
Andrew Bynum - C
Channing Frye - C
Antoine Wright - SG
Gerald Green - SG/SF (looking like he MIGHT slip...)
Martell Webster - SG
Joey Graham - SF
Andray Blatche - PF
Danny Granger - SF (no way he'll be there at 8, but hey...)

Show me how you drive to the hoop or bang it on someone or find the open man, or bang a fadeaway with a hand in your face.

just watch the the Danny Granger clip he does exactly that!

difference between Granger & Wright versus Taft & Warrick is Granger & Wright look great in workouts. They look more like Pierce, Mcgrady, Ray type players than then the serviceable role players most teams make the mistake of drafting in the top 10

Thats why I'm waiting to see what Isiah thinks of Bynum. If he projects that his ceiling is high and he would be a top 3 pick if he went to college, even if it takes him up to 3yrs to develop in the nba, then he will take Bynum. If not he will take the best player Green, Granger, Wright, Webster
All this waiting around is killing me! I wish the draft was yesterday and we knew who we picked.

That'd be so nice! I can't wait for the draft though, party at Guns house!

sounds good to me! its gonna be a fantastic night! all the anticipation leading up to it! too bad we'll all get let down when we trade the pick for a "young star" coming off multiple knee surgeries. J/K lol

Bynum at #8 is too high...if you trade down to get another pick & take Bynum in the mid-late teens, i'm fine w/that...or trade up from the #30.

i would take Greene if he slips...if not, Granger or Webster would be fine by me.

I don't mean to disagree with you on the Bynum is too high at #8, and I was even going to add a comment about taking someone else at #8 if the Knicks are able to secure another pick from 12-19, but if he is all that BRIGGS says he is, tall, mobile, agile, hardworking... is he too high?

Was Kobe too high at #13? KG too high at #5? These guys were stock full of talent and all they really had to go on at that stage was their work ethic (over other high picks like Cu.rry, Chandler, Diop, etc). If Bynum has the heart, you HAVE to pick him, but you also have to double check all of the other parts
Martin, Kobe is a wing player. Wings have a much more successful rate at realizing their potential in the NBA. If a guy like Green is on the board and Bynum is there. Any day of the week I have to take Green over Bynum. I guy like Green would still be productive even if he was a bust. While a guy like Bynum would be out of the league. Give me the slasher, shooter, and high flying dunker over the could be if he did this, and if someone can get him to do this prospect anyday.

look at these clips again:
http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/2005_draft.html

My feelings are out of Granger, Wright & Graham.... Graham doesn't impress me as much but his defense is really good and he's extremely athletic but I think since Granger is ridiculously long and plays excellent D, block a ton of shots, can shoot the nba 3 he will help us more. Granger is Pierce, Pippen, Josh Smith(shot-blocking) molded into one! Same with Wright.. man he can fly and shoot the 3!

look at the Frye highlights and they are very unimpressive. Like Nyk4ever said, if he can't dominant smaller college players inside how is he gonna do it in the nba. He is a good shot-blocker and MAYBE he can shoot like KT but that equates to a role player not a pick 8 over Mcgrady, Pierce, Kobe, Artest, Green, Granger, Wright etc.

Guns if i were to go by those clips, the most impreesive players were Hakim Warrik and Chris Taft. They both showed impressive footwork in the post albeit against smaller players. And one of those guys MAY go in the top 10, but that is seeming highly unlikely at this point. Bogut looked average in the post scoring over bigger guys, no explosiveness, one nice drive to the hoop from the top of the key. Julius Hodges clips were decent too.

Those clips were poorly put together for the most part. You can't just throw a bunch of clips of guys dunking or hitting open jumpshots and think it shows what they can do, because it doesn't. If you are 6-6+ i expect that you can dunk. Show me how you drive to the hoop or bang it on someone or find the open man, or bang a fadeaway with a hand in your face.

Looking at those clips only reaffirms why I want Frye. Look at the shotblocking. You can see what Briggs means about him not having a powerful core, but I really feel that can be improved. But does a lack of core hurt Tyson Chandling? Not for what he does. I believe Frye can a Chandling type for us with a better jumper.

All things being even, I think Granger has the potential to be the best player in this draft period. I pray he falls to us, but I see him going no lower than 7. I can see Toronto, Utah, or Charlotte snatching him up with no regrets. No way does Utah take Fran V with Boozer, AK47 and Memhet on the books. They need perimeter offense. Granger seems perfect for them. Same with Toronto.

Also, looking at those Diogu clips, and some others, he REALLY reminds me of Sweetney, but with a better outside shot and slightly more mobility/athleticism. I don't think he'd be much of an upgrade over Sweets. I've never seen a Diogu game, but just going by those clips he reminds me of Sweetney at Gtown.

my board would still be:

1) Granger
2) Frye
3) Graham (played out of position, in those clips he was playing PF, but in the league he'll be a bruising SF with great D and a great shot.)
4) Warrick
5) Bynum
