No and No.. He's a developmental center. He should go later than 7. Toronto has a raw center on its roster that got picked too high.. they won't be repeating that mistake. Now you have us trading up? Bynum's hype is greater on this board than any I've seen. Maybe you actually know something... sounds like he's really raw from what I've read.. I'd trade down to get him.. but at #8? No way.

I think some are looking at this with rose colored glasses. I'm very worried Bynum will be gone and with our luck Toronto will take him at 7. If Bynum is really this great center project everyone thinks he is then how can you compare him to Araujo? Toronto could be done on Araujo. They problably think his ceiling isn't very high.

Look if Green is there for Toronto then I can see them taking him over Bynum to replace the stardom of VC but you really think they're gonna take Webster or Wright over Bynum? I wouldn't be so sure

thank you Herb Williams, Isiah Thomas, James Dolan.

I was a #1 koolaid slurping sob, supporter, whatever you wanna call it but the fact that the young players on this team got so little playing time in a tumultous season and then topped off by MArbury and Co playing 50+mins during meaningless games and losing the 7th seed during the last game of the season really has me on the edge!

They need a pg, they need a scorer. Wright makes alot of sense for them, he played some college ball, he's young, lot's of athleticism..
at 6'7.. a 6'7 shooting guard... he's going to score. They need a sure thing not another Arajauo.

Yes, and yes.

If we were Houston, Pheonix, Dallas, or any other team that is one or two pieces away from being a true contender, I wouldn't go for a project. But we are about 10 pieces away from being one, and having a stud C like Bynum in our pipeline would be a dream come true.

If there are GMs who think Bynum is a real diamond in the rough and they like him, then by all means Isiah should try to move up.

Isiah will have to build a team with the right mix of players in the next 2 yrs, and I believe Bynum could be the cornerstone of that team that will bring a long deserted championship trophy back to NYC before 2010.

define best player available and explain to me why AB wouldnt fall into that category. If his downside is a 7 foot tractor traylor than you live with that. Heck, we could use that right now. I do know Traylor has NEVER been skinny, whether in school or the NBA, and Bynum has proven he has the muscle mass to quicly slim down.

Traylor's also never been 7 feet tall! I'm not sure who you were asking to define BPA, but I'd agree with you that it's at least possible that AB would fall into that category

well thats my point. Maybe Bynum isnt the BPA *right now* but when you talk about impact and upside he's got to be right there with any of them. If the downside for him is a Jerome James or taller Tractor Traylor than you live with it. Thats still a usefull player. Life goes on... get em next time.

Yeah, if he's there, it has to be Bynum.
