Re: Bogus . . . I mean Bogut: the yakking doesn't mean anything to me either way - what does matter is if this kid plays all out with heart and guts to WIN games for Miilwaukee, not to showcase any 1-on-1 BS. That's toughness, and if he then wants to he can call anyone out he wants out, that's just BS and media-hyping and means little.

Are you saying that Jason Giambi is not that next guy?

In all seriousness, if we keep him, I'll predict that Cano will become one of those wonderful pros that we all would love to have. I don't think he'll be an a star (Maybe an all star once or twice) but he'll be solid.

Let the Kobe dunkfest begin on Bogut. Because he has dunked on better guys.

P.S., Shaq has a chance to prove to the world tonight just how valuable he is tonight. That he really is superman, how he is such a great center, dominate force. There won't be no Penny, Kobe, or D Wade to save you. It is game 7 and you already called everyone out. Welcome to Ewing's world.

Kobe has sunk to even newer lows, when dudes are talking smack about you and have not even been drafted yet.

Kobe was all about getting the respect and being the man.

First off, cheating on you wife makes you less of a man.

His diva act is not very manley!

And now this aussie cracker is smacking ya? Ouch!

Phuch kobe.

I guess if you don't count him throwing his teammates under the bus.

I actually think the impressive thing to do would have been for Bogut to be respectful to all NBA players rather than calling out someone like Kobe even if he's right about Kobe. I thought Dwyane Wade's response to Marbury's claim about being the best PG was impressive maturity when Wade said Marbury is a great player but there are a lot of great PGs in the league. He didn't try to call out Marbury even though you could tell he didn't agree with him.
Agree 100%...he's going to get schooled and treated like Ewing was his first year...hard fouled and lots of fights.

I don't recall Jordan or Ewing Or Iverson or Lebron calling out players in the pros BEFORE they are even drafted.

He's a chump.

i don't believe all this hogwash about him being polite, etc.

this guy has some moxy, has a bit of nastiness, AND he's a big man. that's EXACTLY what we need to INFUSE with this group of un-emotional "professionals".

i'd take a guy that talks **** any day of the week over what we had to live with for the past 5 years.

only guy that showed ANY type of attitude over the past 4 years (and krazy eyes hasn't been krazy for a while now) was frank williams when he busted jkidd's ass and was ready to throw down on RJ.

That, my friend, is genius.

Also, it's the duncan's of the world that win championships, not the iverson's:

Jordan: You have to show me some respect.
Iverson: I don't have to respect nobody.

Jordan, 6 rings, Iverson 0 rings.

Bogut and Atlanta...will not have any rings.

They should trade the pick to us now.

Why do you care so much about this kid's pre-nba talk? If you ask me, he doesn't talk as tough as Tim Thomas. I'm neither impressed nor unimpressed by the kid calling out Kobe. It's just something I don't care about.

Yeah they should because they will definitely not be winning a chip with that squad they have. If Bogut is the real deal, at best the will be like the Kinicks of the 90's good enough to get into the players and when they're bad, they wont be bad enough to get a really high pick. They ren't going anywhere and no one wants to play there. They should trade us the pick.

Thanks. I agree that having a good attitude is really important, but Bogut was asked specifically about whats wrong with American basketball. I'm sure everybody agrees with him, that Kobe is a prima donna who couldn't fit his ego on the same team as a future hall of fame center.

Point is, was he asked about Kobe Bryant himself?

You see, this kid is not very smart. If he's gonna talk tough, talk about other soon to be rookies. Calll them out. He'll be competing against them for the rookie of the year honors. Plus he has something in common with them....none of them have proven a thing in the NBA. He's not on the level to call out a 3 time champ at this point. I don't think he's too bright because EVERYONE and their mother knows that players like Bryant LOOOOOVE to be called out just to have some motivation to do something special at your expense. I'm sure many people have an opinion about Kobe (or maybe even 2 or 3 opinions), but when asked about 'American basketball' and you go directly to a specific player who you're going to get dunked on at least 150 times in your career is not smart. The dunk total will now go up to 300. Count on that!
