France me once, shame on you...France me twice shame on us

The obvious has been stated many times we need a true big man that blocks shots and rebounds. We all have seen countless games where KT just didn't fit the bill or the other teams big man just killed us. We need someone that plays with fire and intensity which we haven't seen since Starks & Ewing. Hopefully we will see Isiah's vision in this draft from the player he selects to the trades he does.

every time I hear the word raw especially with as high a lottery pick as 8 I say to myself, forget it and take the player who is ready and will become a star.

Raw to me means after years of developing the player hopefully becomes good enough to be a solid piece but by no means a key piece to a playoff team.

Raw was Amare's discription, Nene

you don't have to tell me about Nene. I wanted him the way I want Bynum right now. The difference between those guys and Petro is Nene had the massive body and work ethic. Amare had the superb athletic ability and body.

Petro has raw skills. Thin Frame and isn't even 7ft & who knows how his basketball IQ is? Like I've said before I'd live with Petro if we draft the best player available at 8 and trade KT + 30 for a mid 1st rd pick and take Petro
Where is he listed as not being 7 feet? please post.

the only reason people care about Petro is because he was the 1st "7 footer" who caught their interest from nbadraft.net and draftcity months ago when no one knew anything about these prospects. It wouldn't surprise me if foreign 7fters as raw as Petro dropped to the 2nd rd

No way 2nd round, i know for a fact that Denver offered him pick 22 and when he declined, they sold the pick to Orlando. Denver wanted to keep him in Europe and he refused the deal. he should still go anyhwere from as high up as 7 down to 25.
I am curious to see what the Raptors do because everyone assumes that they have two big men that they drafted back to back that they will look to go small this year like a Green or one of the point guards.

why not just sign Stephen Hunter to the full MLE? He's farther along than Petro, we don't need to waste the 8th pick on him.

All these projections are ridiculous. Why not sign a guy we've all seen step up in the Western Conf. Finals and play well against Duncan. It's well known PHO will be hard pressed to match a full MLE contract to Hunter. When you talk about paying Memphis $3 million for a pick and then giving a guy a three year rookie deal with two years of options, isn't a full MLE to a player FAR more developed a wiser option?

Sign Stephen Hunter to the full MLE, Phoenix won't match. Then draft Bynum at eight and draft a Hodge/NAte Rob type at 30.

He can't post it because there are no places anywhere on the net that have him listed as anything lower than 6-11. But Guns is either psychic, an international scout, or friends with the Petro family. Don't wait on that response.
