What player already in the league you think will be wearing a Knicks uni next year? (aquired by free agency or trade)

not necessarily ones i want, but here's a list of probable guys i think will have a good shot of being a Knick this year based on gut feeling:

- Wally Sczerbiak
- Kwame Brown
- Antoine Walker
- Shareef Abdur Rahim
- Zach Randolph (puke)
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I can live with any of those guys minus Walker and maybe Rahim

Its sad but the only person I like on that list is Kwame. I think he's gonna want to prove Washington that the let go the wrong player

Allan Houston back to his old form would be a HUGE upgrade to this franchise, but thats not happening. We wait out the worst contract in NBA history

pretty much everyone on the realgm WAS Wizards board hates Kwame and keeps hoping they can get Kurt for him. They COVET Kurt. I like Kurt, and don't trust Kwame, but I see this as a move Zeke would make. And Ernie Grunfeld LOVES Kurt, signed him here.
Do you think we can Get Kwame for Kurt straight up? Cuz i dont want to give up a draft pick for a player that is not worth it

And about Stromile I was basing my decision of his athleticism, I think we can be a more uptempo team with him. And on defense he's known for swatting the ball into the crowd, but maybe its just me but i think he's an upgrade

what if it comes down to Kurt and the Spurs 2k6 pick for Kwame? I think I'd still do it. I would not give up the 30 pick this year, the draft is too deep.

The thing about Kwame is, he's already had quite a few of the learning years which Andray Blatche and Bynum will doubtless need. Is Kwame ready for a break-out a la Jermaine O'neal? It's a gamble, but one I'm willing to stake Kurt and a late first rounder on. It's less of a gamble than drafting a high schooler and will pay dividends far sooner, while Marbs is still a top tier player.

I agree Kwame for Kurt + the 2006 Spurs pick would be a steal but I disagree about Kwame being less of a gamble than a HS player. Remember guys named Amare, kobe, mcgrady? The difference between Kwame and J'neal is J'neal never got a chance. Kwame has had all the chances in the world and hasn't lived up to the expectations. I still think Kwame is a 12pts, 9rebs and 1.5blks at worst player but what he needs most is a change of scenary and the same guidance that J'neal got under Mark Aguirre. Aguirre will help him utilize his skills inside

wow, big z sure is.........tall. that's pretty much all he brings to the table. he can't block shots, he's slow as molasses, and plays w/0 intensity. not saying he sucks, just does'nt fit the knicks. he'd fit in well w/ a team like the spurs. parker could pretty much just get out his lazy boy, put it at mid-court, and play the inside/outside game w/duncan and z. and both have money azz outside shots.
sorry, got a little sidetracked. anyway, we need more of a high energy shotblocker w/some postmoves. let's keep our fingers crossed.

hmmmmm he averaged 2.12 blocks a game and finished in the top 10 in blocks per game. League Leader was Camby at 3.02 per game and Kurt 0.99 and Yao averaged 2.0, just to give you an idea!

I rather have Big Z at center, lets be realistic who in the knicks roster is going to produce 16 ppg / 8 rpg / 2 bpg.
By the way he was #2 in off rpg ( 3.8 ) and 8th in blocks pg ( 2.1 ) in the NBA..not bad.

i did'nt mean anyone in particular, just generally speaking.
as for z and his two blocks is not impressive, he's avg'd over 2 blocks the past 2 yrs, before that he never avg'd over 2. it would be fine if he were 6'10-6'11, but he's "7'3". he's slow footed and is not getting any faster at 30 years old, and i would particularly stay away from the money he's most likely going to be asking for.

I dont thinkZ will be able to put up the numbers he did last year, atleast not on this team. This is a guard oriented team.

I really hope we can Get Drew Gooden. now thats a player i want on the knicks

You need to order cable and watch basketball more often. you have obviously never seen him play. He does block shots, and he does intimidate, when we played them he kept Steph out of the paint and that aint easy to do. He's 7-3 its hard to shoot over him and Steph makes a living doing that. He is slow, but most 7 foot guys are. Speed is the last thing I ask for from a center. Was Pat fast?

do you remember Ewing when he was in his prime or just when his knees were shot to hell? he was very athletic & could run the floor like a PF.

Umm, Pat was never a racehorse. The Chief constantly beat him on the break. He was always a trailer on breaks and never the front runner. I see Big Z in this mold.

I think everyone is getting enamored with the likes of Amare right now. Big Z is plenty good in my humble opinion.

Yeah and the chief wasn't no damn race horse either so this is getting rather hilarious. Kareem was pretty freaking slow himself. Since when has speed running the floor been a vital attribute for a center to have? You think Alonzo mourning was racing down the court? Do you think Timmy D is flying up and down the court? All I care about is if the guy can rebound, block and score in the post. Big Z can do that and has a really nice outside shot on top of that. This is what you would call a no brainer, Kurt Thomas is our Center!!!!

did i say he was a race horse? but comparing Ewing in his prime to Zydrunas Ilgauskas is way over the top dude...go watch some old games & see how much of an athlete Ewing was in his hey day...i'm not comparing him to Amare Stoudamire, but he's no Z, trust me.
