if we get #2, and find out #1 is going to draft bogut, i do everything in my power to get the #1, including trading the #2 AND sweetney.

i doubt that would do it. probably would have to include ariza also, or have to take back a bad contract.
Yeah, no way would I trade down from 1 to 2 just to get Sweetney. I wouldn't trade down from 1 to 2 in this draft even if it were to get Sweetney, Ariza, and Crawford and to have a bad contract taken back.

There might be something that could be done, they are supposedly high on KT so we give him up for Tony Delk or something and they draft Chris Paul. There must be something and if we are lucky enough to get the #2 we might as well make a move to get the #1 or see if its possible. Either way I'd be ecstatic.

First of all, if we got lucky enough to get pick 2 I would have tears of joy coming down my face

If we did get that pick though. I would try to trade up to 1 and if that didn't work, I would just draft Marvin Williams at 2. No trading the 2nd pick in the NBA draft unless its for pick 1.

huh?! Williams is nothing like TT. The guy is going to be one heck of an NBA PF and the most likely to be an allstar out of all the PFs in the draft! He was a freshman on a championship team and a key component. How can you mention him and TT in the same sentence? Yes he's 6-9 not 6-10 or taller like you wish but he still better than all our PFs combined. Once you draft Williams because Bogut is gone you trade away as many PFs as you can for the right pieces.

I don't watch much NCAA. Can someone who does explain to me what's so great about Marvin? All I know about him is that he's a freshmen who put up I think 11 PPG as a bench player on a very good team. That sounds like a nice prospect worth of a late lottery pick, but obviously there must be much more about him that I don't know since I don't follow NCAA ball closely.

we'll the fact that he put up 11pts on a championship team off the bench when freshmans dont even get playing time their freshman season as a big man and bigmen take longer to develope. I think it's quite clear why he will be a top 3 pick

Does that make him a better prospect than Bynum? Wouldn't Bynum be able to put up 11 PPG on a good team his freshman year? Warrick put up more than 11 PPG his sophomore year on a championship team too. I'm not challenging your view and the view of everyone who's so high on Marvin. I'm just asking for explanations because you guys follow NCAA ball much more closely than I do.

Is it that important to go for a guard???? In my opinion, under no circomstances that we should go small..

well like you said warrick was a sophmore williams was a freshman 6th man on a deep team. I see him being as good as Webber with a downside of Jamison which is still awesome. I don't think you can expect the 17yr old Bynum to average 11 in his freshman year off the bench especially since they have a heck of a player in Josh Boone at Center already. Bynum wouldn't get big minutes til his sophmore yesr imo.

Espn Scouting Report:
A forward with NBA potential written all over him ... Many believed he would declare for the NBA directly out of high school, when he was regarded as a likely first round picked ... Elected to come to Carolina instead, but many believe his stay will not be around for long ... The prototypical small forward ... Has big forward height with the quickness and shooting ability of a perimeter player ... Has great length, skills and athleticism ... Scores from everywhere on the floor, and in transition ... Rebounds and blocks shots ... Only needs to continue to develop his current abilities to become a star ... Averaged 28.7 points and 15.5 rebounds, five blocked shots and five assists as a senior at Bremerton High School in Bremerton, Washington ... Had a season-high 45 points, and had two 42-point games ... Posted 20 or more rebounds five different times, with a high of 25 ... Blocked 11 shots twice and had 10 once ... Earned McDonald's and Parade All-America honors ... Also played at the Roundball Classic ... Played soccer for one season, playing goalie and forward ... Born Marvin Gaye Williams.

my knicks priority list:
1. Bogut
2. Marvin
3. Green
4. Bynum
5. Taft

Well those HS #s are quite impressive, more impressive than Bynum's. That's enough for me to see why he'd be the #2 pick. Thanks for the info.

If we win the #2 would you trade 2 and 30 to someone like the Bobcats who really want Marvin Williams for picks 3 & 10? I would! then draft Green and Bynum or Taft! it depends on how much Charlotte likes the Marvin...
