Part of getting into foul trouble is not having the lateral movement to beat his man to a spot on the floor....

Also having the lift in your legs is crucial and losing 15-20 pounds would really make a significant impact to his game.

no doubt, but so many of his perimeter fouls seem due to his being out there where he shouldn't be in the first place. He can't resist trying to chase guards around the key What are they taunting him with Reeses or something?

I guess that someone from the front office has been reading what we talk about on this board, because slowly but surely, all of the old heads who have been with this organization during the last 20 years are disappearing...See, I am not the only one who has noticed the reason why we were so bad as a team...Any good evaluator can easily see that our players were poorly physically challenged. There is no reason why a young man like Sweetney is overweight. When a ball club loses a lot of close games in the 4th quarters, that is a pure indication of a club that is not physically and mentally fit. I am glad that Isiah has recognized and acted upon a change for next season. To all of you who have disagreed with me on this subject, you can all go the hell.

"Scott and his wife, Dr. Susan Craig Scott, a hand specialist, sent their letters of resignation to the Knicks last week. The move comes a month after Knicks trainer Mike Saunders, who has also been with the club for 27 years, was reassigned within the organization.

When contacted yesterday, Scott, who has always conducted himself with class, said it was time for him and his wife to move on and denied that the Knicks were forcing him out.

"No one from the Knicks organization asked us to leave," Scott said. "That's not even a question. It was just time to move on."

A Knicks source confirmed that Scott was not forced out, saying, "This was a Lenny Wilkens thing (Wilkens also resigned). From what we know, this was Norm's decision."

dido...have you ever watched a Knicks game on MSG? They tell you each game who it is. Mike Saunders. He got promoted this offseason and they have not named another. He is considered on of the best in the business, and was here when Riley coached. Relax.
I thought it was Brittenham. I use to watch fitness shows and would announce as the NY Knicks Strengthing coach.

whomever that was, he did a terrible job, because if you recall Sweetney, Mo T., and many others were out of shape, especially those who don't have no desire at getting in shape. That's where the S & C coach should step in.

I am just sick and tired of ignorance...Just because someone has been around for a long time doesn't mean that he has done a good job...In this world, it is all about what have you done lately...

Now that we have a new strength and conditioning coach, will our team be a much more physically ready squad? We were horrible last season, especially in the 4th quarter, and that is one part of our game that will need to be corrected. This new guy "Roger Hinds" has been around the league for a long time and has helped turned Dallas into a very physically gifted franchise. Can he do the same in N.Y?

He is not a strength and conditioning coach, he is the bench trainer. He will patching up the players and wrapping them up. Coach Brittenham is still the Knicks strength & conditioning coach. Has been for like over 13 years.

Dude! are you kidding? this guy is more than qualify to do that job.

The Brooklyn-native brings 25 years of experience to the Knicks, including 12 years in the NBA, first as assistant athletic trainer/strength and conditioning coordinator for the Atlanta Hawks from 1992 through 1996, and then as head athletic trainer for the Mavericks from 1996 through 2004. He also spent 12 years as the head athletic trainer and director of sports medicine at the College of Charleston in Charleston, SC. He is past president of the National

Basketball Athletic Trainer’s Association Foundation and is the contributing author of two books on conditioning and fitness, “Total Fitness the NBA Way,” and “Condition the NBA Way.” He also served as the Olympics strength and conditioning coach for Dream Team III during the summer of 1996.

Hinds has a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education from Brooklyn College and a Master of Science degree in Physical Education from Indiana State University. He and his wife Carmen have four children, Jade, Aja, Andre and Greg.

I am not saying he is not qualify for that position. I am just saying he was hired to replace Mike Saunders, the Knicks trainer, who got promoted. Mike Saunder treated injuries, and players loose. While Brittenham is the Knicks strength and conditioning coach. He tosses around the medicine ball, jumping jacks, and cardio/weight training. Two seperate positions. Brittenham used to be a special guest on Crunch Fitness show on ESPN. He and Charles Oakley used to appear on Muscle Fitness on ESPN.
