did, I am eager also, but crawford is the type of player you want in an uptempo offense. He can hit the 3, pass, dribble and go to the hoop, when he wants to that is. We noticed when spotting up craw is deadly from 3, so he is a good fit in an uptempo style, as is ariza. I can't wait until the june draft, for once in a long time, I am awaiting this draft and for obvious reasons..

Yeah, I am also. One observation or adjustment that Crawf should make, He is as tall and slim as Ray Allan, he needs to study Allan's game and try to emulate him as much as possible. First thing first, he needs to perfect the mid-range shot, once complete, he can extend his shooting distance. Crawff's problem is that he has no clue about his range. When he is on, don't get me wrong, he can knock the 3s down, but after how many games does he get one good shooting night from the 3? Defensively, with his long arms, he can be as good as Hughes,,,,,,,,,

how come jason kidd made the garbage around him look better?

Marbs is no doubt a great basketball player- but he needs to learn how to make the players around him better- that's what a pg is supposed to do and that's what a superstar is supposed to do.

Vince carried the Nets down the stretch believe it or not. Richard Jefferson was having a Vince like year before he got hurt. Nenad Krstic also stepped up to be a staple at the 5 spot.

Let's not get all hyped up on Kidd. He sucked in the playoffs. Since Kidd is the man.....the team as currently constituted would have at least won 2 games if Marbury was the Nets point guard. The Heat was daring Kidd to score.

I hope Isiah can get Marbs some help because I'm sick of him getting bashed.

Here is something I have been thinging about also.

Rip Hamilton is not ashamed to say he has watched tapes of Reggie and copied everything he does when he moves without the ball. He gives Reggie all the credit. Rip didn't become a deadly weapon until he did this.

Jamal Crawford needs to look no further but his workout partner from last summer......Ray Allen. Think about it.....Ray is smooth and emotionless out on the court. Crawford is the same.......what makes Ray great is that he is focused on winning and is reading the defense. Craw has no clue when he should be doing anything out on the court. Whenever he figures out how to take what the defense gives him and be under control....he is gonna eclipse Ray the same way Rip has done Reggie.

when Rip makes the HOF like Reggie most likely will, let's talk...until then let's steer clear of saying he's eclipsed him...Rip is imitating Reggie's style of play for now...i think Craw should try & emulate Isiah actually...Ray Allen is a scorer...Craw needs to learn how to become a leader of a team.

I know I shouldn't have used the word eclipse.

What about the point that Craw needs to watch tape of Ray. Craw is a scorer....what else is he. He's not our point guard.

Ray Allen is like a point guard anyway because he has the ball in his hands alot during games. Craw is extreamly creative off the dribble but he makes terrible decisions. Craw will probably never be the shooter Ray is but he still could learn how he goes about his business on the court.

He should copy ray and reggie, but I agree more ray. Ray creates more off the driblle and craw obviously has that ability as well. he just needs to develop into something more consistant than what he is now, he still is putting up 17ppg, but with better decision making it could be more points and better shots.

the reason i pick Isiah is because that's the type of competitive mentality i want Craw to take on...i don't see him as robotic as Ray at all...he can be a fiery player when he gets it going...i would like to see him demand alot from his teammates after showing them that he's working his tail off on the court to win games, just like Isiah used to do...i don't see Ray Allen doing that at all...he's a scorer who like to complain about how someone like Bruce Bowen is guarding him...to me, that's not a winner's mentality.

Sorry Diderotn......at least we on the same page.

I just hope that Crawford gets it together next season and really works on focusing on the game rather than his shot. He's got to know what a good shot is. A good scorer is a guy that still gets it done even if he isn't "hot". Ray does that. He could have a bad day and still put 20 on you.....by taking what the defense gives him and staying focused.

Craw has to be the one to step up. He has the talent to be a real force for the Knicks. He can't let Houston come back next year and push him to the bench. Houston has to be looked at as instant offense. A guy they can bring in to get a couple isolations, or come off a few screens to get some cheap points.
