I don't see him being nearly as gifted. To me Lebron looks bigger, stronger, more explosive, faster and quicker plus he's already played against NBA players and shown what he could do. This guy has been playing against High Schoolers and to me doesn't look like he should be mentioned in the same paragraph as Lebron never mind the same sentence.

Hey! Lebron is the man, but there is always someone better out there. This kid Green is about as big as Lebron. I don't know if he can pass the ball like Lebron can, but only time will tell. Is he as physically gifted???

It is a no brainer, I would take Green in a heart beat. He may just turn out to be as good as Lebron....Never know...

NO WAY! Barring Lebron having a major injury - like one of his legs being amputated

You know I wasn't gonna say anything, but since you said it I might as well co-sign, because I agree 110%. Lebrons name never should have come up in this conveersation.

I think Portland will draft Green, they need an SG. The good thing is that pushes another player lower and gives the NYK more options.

i agree. it kinda ruined this whole thread. Lebron, jordan, duncans dont grow on trees! You can not expect Green to be as good as Lebron. There game is very different!

The acurate comparison is T-Mac, and will he be as good as T-Mac?
They have the same body type and play the same position so that is the comparison that really makes sense. And even that is a hell of a lot to live up to.

I like this kid i think he has some real upside, nice jumper, good size, and can flat out jump, needs to work on his body language, and hustle

its sad, how excited everyone gets about high school kids declaring for the draft myself included

I doubt Green is there at 7 but maybe with a promise he doesnt work out for other teams.

Green over Taft... no brainer

I agree, and I would use the later first round pick on a big... even a big foreign prospect..

I like green because I really think that he and ariza could give us a combo that would be spectacular, two 6'8 swingmen who are 19 years old with tons of upside. I mean if this happened for Our knicks, I would go nuts... I would then use that later pick on a big, even a euro player that slips...

Green over Taft. Taft is nice prospect.. but doesn't seem to be a game changer unless he develops more physically. Green seems to be more polished offensively, and his athletic ability is rare. Its not a stretch to say he would dominate college ball where Taft has had two years and failed to do so.

My guess at the first 5

Bogut
M Williams
Martynas A
Chris Paul
Gerald Greene

exactly I don't have any problem with taking a shot on a foreign center and letting him develop in Europe like the Nets did with Kristic but to waste a lottery pick on a potential bust is stupid.

Wow you declared for the draft? (Sorry, just joking; I couldn't resist.)
