Is a TT, Sweets, and our late #1 to Toronto for Rose and their #1 feasible? It would clear a little jam at the PF spot and give us 2 top 10 picks. Would give them cap space a year earlier.

Probably not. I can't think of any other way of getting back a #1 for TT.

I would prefer to hold onto Sweets and the pick and just trade TT next deadline when his contract is valueable if that was the only option we had.

TT has been improving every game. He is 8th in the league in 3 point %. He has great post up skills and can shoot. you can't forget that he is 6-10, one of the bigger people oTon the knicks. The knicks should resign TT, hopefully for less $$$

Any thoughts...

TT - has been improving every game?? On his best days he is a scorer. He never provides defense, he rebounds once in a Blue Moon. This isn't some rookie and you're looking to build on little successes - this guy has been in the league for eight years. Everyone always gets sucked in by potential (including me) but at some point you have to cut your losses. THe chance of this guy ever providing anything but glimpses of what could have been are about 1 in 10. Trade him!

I can't stand TT any more than any of the rest of you. The only way I would want to keep him would be if we resigned him for a very reasonable rate, and then use him like the Pistons used Big Nasty last year. Bring him off the bench for about 20 minutes a night of pure offense. Especially if Ariza's starting and giving the defensive intensity and overall game that Prince was giving last year (I know, here come the "Reezy ain't ready" posts).

Keeping TT is a bad idea. He is very inconsistent and at this point, showing signs of a timid player. His size and athleticism dont mean much if he starts to emulate Allan Houston's game and shoot lower that 44%.

Silver, you wouldn't go for my plan at all? You know when he was the 6th man for milwaukee and averaging 11 points in limited minutes he actually played well. That's why he got way too much money, too many minutes and too much expectation.

P.S. Every time I come on to this thread and see Mullet Man puking, I crack up again.

Actually thats a good idea. What I am worried about how timid he has gotten. If I were Isiah, I would want to see some games where TT can hold his own against a good defender or drive into the lane more often etc. I have no problem with re-signing him for little money. One thing though, he cannot be a problem for Ariza.

Yeah he's definitely everything you say. He's also a guy who can go off for 20 in a quarter. He could be a huge asset for us in certain games and certain situations. But it would only work if he were willing to accept 2nd unit money. Guys have done it. Juwan Howard, for one.

Thats true. He could accept less money and a lesser role.

Do you think he is reminded of last years foul on him in the playoffs when he drives into the lane?

Yeah I do. The whole first half of the year he played like a guy with PTSD. He seems like he's better with it now.
