I wish you werent being sarcastic. His career FG% (44.5%) does seem to be only a tad bit better than today's average FG% for a jumpshooter.

thats the truth! 44% is not that good for a jumpshooter. should be at least 46 or 48%

the numbers aren't everything. if you're comparing him to other teams' pure shooters, guys who just chill until the star gets them an open look, then their %s should be higher. houston put up 20 a game as a main scoring option, with the other team's best defender on him. his jumpshot was never the problem.

You say numbers arent everything and then you bring in his 20ppg number? That doesnt mean much because Kendall Gill averaged 21.8ppg for NJ in 1996-97!

But you are right, stats arent everything, its the overall game. Houston was too 1-dimensional to ever be a primary option on any offense. He will be effective on this team though. Much more effective than he was when he had those 2, 20ppg seasons.

Fun game so far, TT and Pierce almost went at it. 4 Technicals already, 1 for Marbury and TT and 1 for Pierce and Ricky Davis.

yep, nbatv is not on tonight...I'll bet you they would have had tonights game...well, knicks just dropped back to back to back 3's and have opened it up in the early going.
