he got in the game with 1min left and immediately cut to the basket and jermaine made a nice pass to him and he scored on his first and only attempt! then the game was over after the spurs missed and the knicks dribbled it out!

Butler has more baby fat than I realized, but that cut to the basket was nice. He looks very strong.

thats why one of the first things I said in the Jackie Butler thread is that he looks just llike Sweetney!

but h's not fat like him...he just needs to get in NBA shape and turn that baby fat into muscle.

and he is a 6'10 Sweetney is only 6'8

I caught a brief glimpse of Butler in the waning seconds, I am sure he was very nervous, he caught the ball and layed it in.....But i wouldn't be too excited about the kid....He doesn't look to be to athletic, but their is no reason not to keep him at the price we have him.....

Everyone get a grip on this kid, jackson was averaging 18 a game and looks like he is scared to shoot when he has been in....the cba is not a strong league

Butler looked like he had about 12 pounds of fat to lose. It's nowhere near the amount Mike Sweetney has. Sweetney has about 30 pounds of fat to lose. Hopefully Butler will have more success than Sweetney has had in his 2 years here at losing weight since Mike has had about zero success. It's not necessarily a personal criticism of Mike. Genetics definitely plays a large role in weight. He might be working his *** off and just unable to get (or stay) much lower than his current weight.

Well, he said he lost a lot of weight last Summer. However, it's sometimes hard to tell the difference. However, he totally needs to cut that fat. I am sure he does work his ars off, in terms of practice, and working out. He's a very strong man, and he even moves down the court well for a guy his size, and is able to compete for boards with the rest of them. That shows his work ethic. However, he HAS to cut that body fat, b/c imagine how much more swift he could be. The Knicks said, a while ago that their goal was to cut the fat off of Sweetney this Summer, so lets see what happens.

Butler didn't look like he was in the greatest shape in the world, which was probably why they were holding him on IR in the first place. Still it was nice to see him score. My main concern is that he didn't look like he was a true 6'10". He looked a little shorter than Nazr Mohammed when standing next to him.

This kid is going to be a monster if he gets playing time...The hell with how he looks right now, we all know that he needs to get in shape, and the only way for him to do that is through playing....As for him looking shorter than Nazr, sometimes, your the amount of mass you have in your bone makes you look much shorter than you actually are....

What if this kid (JB) comes in and out play everyone in our front court, what will happen with Kurt and Sweetney? What if he comes in and block shots, rebound, scores and most of all plays defense??? I am convince that this kid will outplay some of our guys, because he is hungry....Who will go in the IL when Kurt returns? will it be Bruno????? because we have not used this kid at all
