mad dog doesn't like him so he gives him sh!t everytime he's on, and especially now b/c they're losing. he has every right to b/c there are alot of people that agree with what the gist of chris is trying to say:

1. keep adding payroll, keep losing
2. marbury is not the savior or a top flight player
3. what are the assets?

those that agree with isiah drink kool aid and those that agree with the points above are haters.

isiah doesn't have to explain himself to anybody but when he comes on a show like that, i wish for once he'd give a real logical response like we say here many times (we won't be under the cap til 07, i'm doing sign and trades for players that'll help in the interim while still building a pipeline, stuff like that). but he doesn't say it, he gets fed up and let's chris go all out.

it's ok tho, b/c i don't care what he says to the press. i just want to see results.

as for mo taylor - wasn't really addressed fully but he said he likes mo taylor and the talent he got back was better than the talent he sent out.

Hell, when Layden used to come on, the both of them laughed their a@@es off, because Layden would be silent through the whole interview. He granted them a total of 5 interviews during his whole time here, that was Zeke's 4 appearance on the show btw. As I mentioned, Chris has another agenda which other people already brought out. Just Phil Mushnick, Chris swam in the kool-aid when Layden was here up to the day he was fired. Every Layden deal was great including Spoon, Anderson, Eisley, Mcdyess, extending Houston's contract.
And this BS, about Zeke putting them over the cap is ridculous, where was the outcry when Grunfeld first did it, Checketts said he will continue to do so, and Layden just blew it away. Nada, seek add Penny, TT, Marbury, and Taylor, who I could argue have been better than any of those players I previously mentioned. 9 YEARS OVER THE CAP, not something new.

The amount of people that keep allowing Isiah to pass is just about laughable...He was utterly destroyed during the interview....He is talking about a young core to build around, and Crawford who he gave far to much money to is an erratic jump shooter that openly admits he has a poor shot selection, and doesn't do anything to change it...

Marbury for all his ability is a mere midget in the clutch and maybe the last person i want handling things, turnovers, missed free throws shot clock violations, length of the court passes....he isn't an asset if no team wants to trade for him....

Ariza, you give him credit for he will be a good player, Sweetney if he loses a little more weight is going to be a real force.....

He needs to not take on payroll, Isiah is an ******* and was exposed during the segment for having no real plan, Rose is a nice player but not at the price and trying to justify that Naz would have cost them team more money just proves how clueless he really is......Adding mo taylor made no sense, he trade one dumb deal baker for another one......

Those trades were inconsequential, he needs to hold onto Penny, and Thomas, because he can get something special at the deadline....Had he weighted to make a move he may have been able to grab dale davis off of waivers....

Isiah is confused and can't admit it, and if you believe he is not you are crazy....These moves he makes keep setting the team back and saddling them with players....

Underachievers = Crawford, Marbury, Taylor, Thomas.....not a good combination

MS - they've won three in a row and the best you can do is bitch and moan?

Gimme a break.

Isiah has been on the job for 14 months. You, and the rest of the pablum-impaired crybabies need to learn how to appreciate a work in progress that the Knicks are.

Who said a championship (or a Conference Finals appearance) was gained overnight?

Salary Cap?

We don't need no STEENKIN' Salary Cap!

the New York Knicks AKA Madison Square Garden, L.P.

Made $772. million in 2003

The knicks salaries where: $104.5 million in 2004.

This is a cash cow.

This does not mention that Cablevision (2003 income $297million) owns 60% of the knicks and Rupert Murdoch owned Fox sports Network (2003 income $150million plus) owns the other 40%.

If Dolan owns Cablevision and Murdoch owns DirectTV

Anybody in their footprint that wants to watch TV must pay them period!

Knicks do not worry about money!

Has Isiah acquired better basketball players?

I stopped caring about payroll a long time ago. It's extremely unusual for a team trying to rebuild by cap room to win the championship and it's extremely unusual for championship teams to have gotten their superstar because of cap room.

A hundred thousand Pardons For Yet Another BOOTLEG Post From The Most Honorable NYTimes Knicks Forum

I'd gladly accept any suitable punishmaent for making a Jazzy point

An exerpt from this outstannding piece sums up my feelings perfectly

phoenix - ... Years ago, GM's were beginning to take high school kids based on potential. At the time, they were considered crazy. Drafting a skinny KG? Crazy. Trading Vlade (a center!) for a high school guard! Insane! It seems to me that Isiah is continuing along these lines. Plucking up talent before other GM's can even see their potential.

He must be able to see some infinitesimal nugget of rawness that will someday blossom into talent that other GM's just don't see. It's not hard to see that LBJ will be a basketball god. But who knew Trevor would be this good or J. O'neal?

I'm not saying Isiah will pull it off. That remains to be seen. But all this talk about how getting under the cap is the only proper way to rebuild just shows me how far-behind, slow, traditional, and stubborn these analysts and reporters are. They have trouble seeing "outside the box." It reminds me of all the music critics were bashing Bird because of his non-traditional and "soulless" playing style. Or Trane and his "too many notes." Critics of sports are rarely any different. They espouse theories that are tried and true without any thoughts of revolutionizing the art.t
