Acquiring Mo Taylor to be the post threat is pointless unless they've given up on Sweetney. Sweetney has the talent to be everything Mo Taylor is on offense and more, and actually rebounds the hell out of the ball. Taylor is SOFT and LAZY, the 2 biggest problems with our team and now we've brought in another one who fills the bill. He can't board, can't play D...I guess he fits right in.

he wasn't brought in for that reason. he was brought in because of his contract. if you saw Isiah on sportsdesk you saw that he isnt in love with mo taylor.

Which makes this trade even more insane and idiotic. You don't trade for freaking contracts that expire 2-3 years down the line. It's freaking mad! Why didn't we just keep Shandon Anderson's deal then????

By this logic, we should get under the cap in 2008, sign some underachiving scubs to max contracts, that we can eventually use as expring deals in the year 2015.

when you have H20]s 20mil on the books you do as long as you dont take on players who are signed past 2008 unless there names are Elton Brand, Zach Randolph, and stephon marbury.

Fools! Give it a chance to work. Isiah is trying, unlike most of the GMs who were given plenty of time and money to do something, this dude is working his behind off. Give him a chance to do something good. With time the deals that he has made will all make sense.

Dude, there are probably 50 some odd scrubs that are on the books in the NBA untill 2007. We had a couple of scurbs on our own team that were signed for shorter. We could've just let them go and not added anyone till our roster than since we're not looking for talent.

From now untill then Taylor doesn't help. His mentality...it's everything that's wrong with our team as currently constituted. Again, explain to me why we bought out Shandon Anderson if we're looking to pile up overpaid scrubs that expire the same year as Allan Houston?

Shandon was a scrubb that we didn't need. This Knicks team doesn't have an identity at the frontcourt, and Mo Taylor can just be the answer if Sweetney doesn't pan out. He has the athleticism to be a really good player, but like TT has yet to blowup. Let's give him a chance as a Knicks to see if he is really a scrubb.

lets take it easy now, you dont want to fuel the haters some more. Sweetney is miles ahead of Taylor right now as an all around player. Mo is good insurance in case someone on our frontline gets injured. He's legitimate insurance unlike Baker. Dont expect him to become the 2nd coming of Karl Malone now

Yes but by your logic they could've been used as expiring contracts in the nearer term (with Penny and TT).

Here is another scenario, what if we package Sweetney and a first round pick for Chandler or Curry??? that would have definitely open the PF position and help give us a true Center...

no. i'd rather have expiring contracts every year til H20 is gone. Taylor's 10mil in 2006 will be much more valuable then Baker and Moochie's 6mil in 2005 when we already have TT/Penny to use this year

my god you people have your heads in the sand... you think Mo Taylor was aquired because of his coontract?!?!?!

http://www.hoopshype.com/salaries/new_york.htm

take a look people please. Shandon Anderson could have filled a nice roll with this team considering all the injuries (predictable ones) to Penny and Houston. Hey look, his deal expires in a couple year also.. what a great asset.

Wake up... This was a rush deal and Isiah got a slightly better player with a sht deal for 2 that somehow suck worse (one of which he signed)

There is NO NO NO way you can spin the Tayler trade into somethig positive for this team. It makes ZERO sense.

yes, ESPN, CNN, whatever.. they are anti NY biased. Find ONE, just ONE person anywhere that says this trade makes sense for the Knicks. You wont because it doesnt.

Who cares? the deal already went through, now we have to make the best of it. Both Malik and Mo can contribute to our need, we just have to find what will make them produce. that is all. Forget about Nazr, let's move on. Isiah couldn't do no better with what he has. We've already won a game after that trade and we will see plenty more Ws. sTOP b*TCHING

shandon was a cancer and he was tough to watch. Taylor is a heck of a lot better than Shandon Anderson! and has a more value and a more valuable contract!

Tell me who's worse for a team....Tim Thomas or Shandon Anderson? One overpaid scrub who flashes talent, but gives about 35% every night and doesn't do the simple things he's phyiscally capable of doing, like rebounding and defense, is incredibly soft mentally, and could care less about the team. Or one overpaid scrub who works his butt off, but has a low basketball IQ and limited talent, and is upset because he's been completely blackballed by the organization he works for. Both suck and its pick your poison.

Mo Taylor fits more of the Thomas mold.

your loony.. your really are. We needed to pay $18mm over the next 2 years to Mo Taylor because his contract is valuable? Thats good management? Whats wrong w/ Jerome's contract? Why not trading for some guys that will actually help us?

No other team in the NBA operates this way, not even the Dal/Port teams that can afford too.. why do you think that is? Possibly because its retarded and doesnt work?
