Oh concerned one, your petition for fan apology is quite admirable but you could’ve petition a different direction for chaney. first of all, knick fans do not owe apologies for mediocre performance(s). if chaney did not see eye to eye he could’ve quit, like I suggested some time ago, or simply voiced his opinion with dissatisfaction to the media. imho, don held on and played his hand out. would he have gotten paid by quitting ? what was his motive to continue coaching for a team desperately lacking direction and creativity ? Secondly, don made it known he wish he had players of the type zeke was brining that he thought could’ve made a difference for a winning record..... guess don was not too convincing with zeke or maybe zeke had some kind of predetermined exit planned....who knows. Regardless, you may want to solicit an apology or two from the media or zeke,not displeased paying knick fans.

to hell with this... I was saying for years the coach wasnt the problem, but people would cry about subsitution patterns or late game calls. Then the Knicks get a HOF coach and they still stink. Now they have a fiery rookie and they still stink.

Maybe when people actually look at the roster they will realize this is and always has been the problem... god forbid

so you really thought Cheney was correct to be playing Eisley as the starting PG ahead of Frank and Ward and was correct to be playing Othella and Weatherspoon ahead of Sweetney? Or did he screw up the playing time for 40% (2 of 5) of the positions? It's possible to have a fairly weak roster AND also have the situation worsened by an awful coach.

1) It's Chaney, not Cheney. "Cheney" is a word associated with a vulgar word for a male body part which aptly describes the vice president.
2) Chaney was not a good coach, but the players played hard for him. At least, much harder than they played for Lenny.
3) His time was probably up, but he should have been replaced by somebody better than him. That didn't happen. Lenny turned out to be quite crap.
