I'm sorry lenny wilkens couldn't succeed in NY but I'm glad he left
Maybe he could have been successful 10 or 15 years ago, but the game has passed him by.
Again, people say things without relevant facts to back them up
here are lenny's clubs the last decade, a record of 11/13 winning seasons and nearly .6 winning %, he actually had a better winning % his last 10 years than when he was younger and won a championship with the supersonics. The reality is, Lenny was put into a market and a position that couldve had a high failure rate for anyone. The team was over-rated by most everyone, with management harping on this as a top 4 team, coming off a skewed 29-24 end to last season. There is no doubt that serious miscalculations have occured, but you have to give Isiah some mulligans as well. Hes been viewed as doing an A+ job, when reality with all he has spent and flipped the roster over, only a mediocre job was accomplished--perhaps increasing our foothold in the quagmire. Anyway, I don't think Lenny was the right choice because of his age in this market andits just as bad or DUMB to make him a scapegoat. Lenny's record since '92
