It is all about improvement for young players, gerald wallace has been in the league 3 years and yet have I seen him het 3 jumpers in a game, maybe he has, but my point is, that in 3 years wallace is still just a athletic energy guy. in two months ariza is transforming himself into a all around player who will only get better as he has shown...

playa... shut up please..

Islesfan/Playa...

Just let me know in the future when its appropriate to be excited about the play of a young guy. I thought with the extra playing time of late he was making another step to being a good NBA player and a nice future piece of the team.

Clearly my enthusiasm as a fan isnt warrented.

Just let me know when its OK to be happy we have this young player.

Its not even the #s he put up. If you have watched the last few games his jumper has been falling more consistantly. Which is huge. He also has great basketball instincts & understanding of the game. Add all that with his freak atheltism and the fact that he is just 19 and his buzz is warrented.

But I do agree with Islesfan in the aspect that its only one game. He still has a long way to go in developing his body and handle & jumper but he has the tools that you can't teach to become a complete player and at 19 he has many many yrs to develop before he even enters his prime.

tkf/fishmike :Being excited about a young prospect is fine and I relly like ARIZA hustle and all, but to get overly zealous about one game shows your addiction to Kool-Aid. Bythe way ARiza felt comfortable playing against guys his age.

What is the avg age of the bulls 22?

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

playa maybe you should read my post again:
the more time I see Ariza and Sweetney on the floor the more I think we have something of a young foundation. Sweetney still sucks on the help but when he was matched on Curry he scored with ease and pushed the bulldog Curry away from the hoop.
As for Ariza the numbers didnt lie.. the guy is an impact on both sides of the ball and he's obviously been working on a jumper that wasnt there 2 months ago (or the confidence to use it wasnt).

Tell me I'm not looking at the starting SF for the next decade
So which part is overzelous? The part about him being an impact? The part about him being the starting SF of the future?

Its funny... I say I like how a guy is progressing and Islesfan comes out with some crap about all star games and you come out with some crap about being overzelous.

Maybe you should be surfing other boards right now for something intellegent to say

Is Ariza starting the All Star game yet? Geez, you guys are unreal when it comes to this kid. The kid is nothing but an energy guy with athleticism. His basketball skills are still extremely raw, he has no offensive game to speak of. But I guess that's enough to make him the starting SF for the next decade. Oh wait, he had one good statistical game so that must be enough too.

Ariza is another Gerald Wallace type player. Let's stop trying to make him out to be so much more.

not for nothing isles, but i'm sure EVERYBODY here would be thrilled if he was a gerald wallace type player. seriously, if layden kept bringing in players like this, he'd still have his job. gerald wallace is a starting SF and will be a very nicely PAID starting SF after this season. [b]ariza is EXACTLY the type of player we should've been bringing in since 01, and he's only 19. how can you not be happy that we have a player with tremendous "potential" like this? don't let the fact that you hate isiah and everything isiah related cloud your optimisim about trev. this is the type of player you DRAFT if you "blow it up" and rebuild.[\b]

Exactly, and we already have star in Steph, a budding star in Crawford. Why can't you all see we are on the verge of something here. A bigman and a solid backup PG, and we are on our way. If we try and rebuild we would be lucky to draft two more talented young players than Sweets and Ariza.

really? Actually Ariza has played well in many games. What was nice about this game is rather than playing well for spurts in 15-18 minutes a game he was solid for over 30.

Playa... how's Vince?
