I would love to let Ariza start...but I just see another Boozer/Arenas situation in the back of my mind. As soon is he is locked up for a longer contract, I absolutely give him the nod to start.

Tim Thomas has all the skills to be a good player in this league......

OK He's 27.......when will he realize this potential? The Knicks is his perfect opportunity to start over.....to take over.

The Knicks as currently put together require Tim Thomas or whoever is at the 3 spot to be a scorer.....or at least be a finisher and active on the break and inside. Something......Timmy brings nothing.

He may have lost a step. He probably should be a power forward.....but dude can't rebound. Whatever.....don't play him. Philly banished Big Dog.......why can't the Knicks banish Timmy?

Let Timmy waste another teams time. I wouldn't even care if he turns it around in another uniform. Just get him out of NY.

I'd say it's too late to try to hide his talent . . . the whole league knows already. In fact, it might even work that the more PT he's given here the more he'll want to re-sign.

I was so impressed with Ariza last night! I cannot believe we drafted him with the 44th pick. AMAZING!

You could be right. Just hope everyone in the organization is making him want to stay.

I know. I can't wait to see what Zeke can do with a 1st rounder. The future is looking oh so bright.

I'm telling you.....no other team in the league would still be trying to showcase Timmy.

Ariza is willing to play now with the intesity needed to compete. Timmy has that whatever approach.

Getting Wally for KT sounds alot better after watching the Knicks against the Bulls. The Knicks have Sweetney, JYD and Baker to fall back on. Sweetney and JYD have proved they can hit the jumper just as well as KT. The thing is JYD and Sweets score more on the inside which is what the Knicks need.......With Marbs, Houston and Craw who needs a power forward shooting 18 ft jumper?

Timmy should be Shandon Andersoned.

I agree with mostly everything you said except "Shandon Andersoning" TT. I would just tbe patient and keep his contract and trade him with others this summer for a decent big man. But TT shouldn't start ( or even play at this point) now that Ariza and JYD out-do him on everything

BigSmooth: TT should rot on bench until his "contract" (which is the only thing of value) is traded.... no matter how you look at it!

Anyway, back to the topic of this thread.
I agree!
With Ariza and JYD, TT should be buried on the bench!
He bring nothing to the table. His "potential" will
never be realized. He's already in the prime years of
his athletic career, and he's not any better.
Comparisons to KG and Kobe are ridiculous. Those guys
are naturals. Put the ball in their hands and beautiful
things happen. TT gets the ball and looks like a spaz,
turning it over or shooting low percentages. Can't even
rebound at 6-10. Cut your loses, bury him. Let Ariza
gain experience, and JYD bring his Starks-like attitude.

You so crazy...TT has been taking and making big shots up to him going down...I believe he was averaging close to 15 ppg when we were winning and the losing suddenly coincides with him and crawdaddy going down.

He gives us a solid 15 a game, presents matchup problems when he posts up, and is often doubled freeing up H20 or Craw for an open jumper.

Think about what he was bringing to the table when he went down and you saw a player beginning to come into last season's form.

We were winning and making moves...sweetney may have been the biggest blow and I'm 100% sure TT's shot would not have been blocked against the bulls. (Ariza would have probably gotten the put back as he would have been in for Houston)
