Wow... If you think about what it was like in the LayDown years

...tonight's loss doesn't seem as bad anymore...
Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

Turned it around just what the hell did he turn around. Only thing that happened was a third division was created and thats saving his hide. Do you realize had the divisions stood pat the Knicks would be struggling with the last spot for the playoffs. Where is the improvement.

Player or two from contending please I could have said that about Layden too. Everyone forgets that it was Layden that set the ground for Marbury trade so lets give him some credit for that deal. If anything Layden would have waited the Suns out and probably saved a pick and would have given less up. You guys need to stop buying into everything Isiah throws at you.

The hell he turned around was the basketball cesspool that was MSG. That team wasn't going to make the playoffs, and Isiah's moves put them in a position to make the playoffs. I wish he had blown up the team, but that's not possible under Dolan.

Groundwork is worthless in a vacuum. Layden never pulled the trigger on the Marbury trade.

There is no way that Isiah would have made that ridiculous McDyess trade.

Layden was too stupid to play Sweetney; Isiah got him minutes (although not enough).

He drafted Ariza. He traded for Nazr, Crawford, and JYD.

The team is in much better shape than when he took over.

btw, Lose the attitude, it's boring as hell.

Why do I have to lose the attitude because it doesn't agree with your. You know and I know that it doesn't work like that. A little conflict of interest is needed. If it were everyone having the same attitude we all would be here singing koomba ya.

I don't have to like Isiah and definitly don't have to like Wilken or certain players.

The heart and soul of the team is Sweetney my friend. If you all will just open your eyes. JYD is all heaart the man plays all out and you have to love the hustle he brings. If and when Sweetney gets back he needs to be in the starting lineup. There is no ifs and buts about it. This team goes as Sweetney goes. He needs to be the focal point of the team not Marbury, H20, Crawford, TT, Nazr and definitely not KT.

You GOTS to be kidding me. While I like Sweetney, he is no
"heart and soul of this team." For that to be true, a player
needs to put his imprint on the game when he's on the floor.
Has to affect the way other players play, in a positive way.
Sweetney doesn't have that kind of impact.

The little time he gets he puts his imprint on the game. He gets the opponent big in foul trouble and he gets to the line. If you watch the game Sweetney gets the team going he creates enough havoc that he makes Marbury's life easier. He draws fouls which in turn make the opponent bigs play less agresively which clears the lanes for Marbury to drive. What he does is he commands a double in the post. So I say he probably after Marbury leaves the biggest imprint on the game.

layden laid the groundwork and then was fired.

what does that tell you

no wait

layden buried a franchise. isiah has built a playoff foundation and got us younger and more athletic

how dare you praise layden and down isiah.

you remind me of the guy that smoked for 40 years and then tried to sue the tobacco company when he found out he had cancer

you can't be serious

i guess you are one of those guys who likes to side with the wrong side. 1 million fans can't be wrong

my nomination for "post of the day".

had to repost this, and state for the record that MARBURY IS, HAS ALWAYS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE THE HEART AND SOUL OF THE KNICKS.

dummy's...what are you loco? The man is all knicks all the time...every time I see his stats, watch him play...

nevermind...

I fully understand that it is therapy to always call for the heads of everyone on the team that puts in solid effort every game (kurt thomas), shows unlimited heart (marbs), plain gives it their all (nazr) and teaches/preaches professionalism (lenny), but we have to be realistic...3 of our best players are injured. While TT may not be giving what he should, he was still giving us 15 ppg before the injury.
And yes, H20 is a gimp...but he's supposed to be coming off the bench, not logging 35 minutes.

And Marbs...he played in the olympics, played the most minutes last season and is still giving us his career 20/10.

So, let's wait until sweets, crawford, TT and yes, even Penny come back and we are full strength before we trade away the only players giving us their all.

And, keep in mind that this is therapy and thank the stars none of you guys are GM's for the knicks...because for every other week we would have Dalembart (overrated), Kwame Brown (a tall tim thomas) or Webber (a tall h20).

Love you guys, and thanks for keeping the season sane between games.
all kool aid all the time.
