1st Uit:
PG:Marbs-He is our General. Without him we are nothing.
SG:Craw-If he comes out hot perfect if he comes out cold then pluck him for h20. If other team uses zone effectivly then bring in h20.
SF:JYD-We need what he brings plain and simple Timmy only brings scoring and we have plenty of that.He is also the perfect GoTo Role Player.
PF:Kurt-When all else fail run the pick and roll with Kurt. When let open it will hit the midrange shot time and time again.Nice Rebounding.
C:Nazi- Good with Dirty work around the basket. Can catch a pass but need to learn how to finish with power so he doesn ot get blocked so often.

2nd Unit
PG:Craw-Need his scoring and shot creation and driving ability. Will turn into a better point with more time at that position.
SG:H20-Liability on D but when his shot is on it does not matter. Has shown passing skill this season.
SF:Ariza- Ariza is our JYD for the second unit. He is an all around player with only one weakness his shooting from midrange. Has been working on his shooting alot and has shown alot of improvement. This time next year he may have no weaknesses.Should have backdoor plays ran for him when the D focuses on doubling other people.
PF:Sweets-The offense should run through sweets. Have h20 start at the top of the key then slide over to the side sweets is posting on incase someone decidies to double him.
C:Kurt- This might be the best position for kurt seeing as he can only defend post players and most centers are post players. This spot will also optimize the pick and roll play because centers wont get out to the open man.

Comments: The reason I wont play JYD at the 4spot unless of injury or a quick pf is because he give better hustle and D at the sf spot. Plus he wil help our rebounding.

TT should get alittle time from SF spot and the PF spot. I think his poor D will be masked if he only has to play D on postup players.(This is wishful thinking)

Ariza can also get some SG time if H20's man gets to the hoop at will.

Baker should alsoget some playing time to see which baker comes out the lazy one or the one that played solid minites a few times this season.

Bring Allan out that much sooner, let him take a breather for a few minutes, then slide Craw over to point.
So whats the point of starting him? Why not just bring him off the bench?

I just like the idea of using Crawford as a spark from the bench.
In my ideal lineup, Sweetney and JYD (if Ariza was signed long term, I would say him) would be starting along with Nazr and Marbury. Houston and his outside shot just seems to level off that lineup.
Crawford's jumper can just be too frustrating and I will always encourage him to drive rather than shoot from long range.
Anyway, there's the reasoning in my mind. I guess I could see the benefits for Jamal starting, especially with Kurt and TT in the lineup.

I think you are going to see a lot of Stephon, JC and Houston on the floor at the same time come crunch time to end a game.
I have a feeling we wont get to see too much crunch time if Houston is in the starting lineup! Its either win by a lot or lose by a lot!

Actually I think it's lose by a lot or crunch time. We can't really hold a big leasd.

I'm in favor of giving Craw as many minutes as possible sliding Houston into the role of expert marksman off the bench, basing his minutes on how responsive his knee is from game to game.

The lineup should be:

Ariza sf
Sweetney pf
Nazr c
Crawford sg
Marbury g

Stick with it because this is the NYK future. This team will make the playoffs so everyone on the board will be happy. At worst if they don't make the playoffs the young get valuable experience. The Knicks get a nice Lottery pick hopefully a center for the furture.

In 2 years this team win 50 games for the next 5-10 years isn't that what we want or some meaningless playoffs like last year. Take it from the guy who wanted the team to tank for three years. If the team followed my method to rebuilding we would have has a chance at Yoa, LeBron, Melo and the list goes on. Just imagine where the Knicks would have been probably the best team in the east had they just done the simple tanking. This team is still caught in mediocrity and that my friends is the worst place in the NBA. To win in the NBA you first have to learn to lose.

exactly when his shot is falling we win when it's not we get blown out because he is too much of a liability.

Houston should come off the bench just like Starks did for Houston!

Am I crazy for thinking the Knicks could win 50 games this year?
Lenny may prevent it, but I can see it happening if we win the overwhelming majority of the games we should win and some of the tougher ones too.

call me crazy, because I was thinking the same thing...Ariza 14 off the bench?!?!?!? When Sweets returns, that gives us a low post scorer for the second team...are you trying to tell me that TT getting injured has suddenly opened Lenny's eyes?

We'll see...the next few games are all against teams we should beat...let's effing beat them.

I'm back...and so has optimism...50 wins this year.
all kool aid all the time.

Whoa. Guys. We're going to go 33-15 the rest of this season? Because we beat an injured, slumping and plain not-very-good Blazers team at home? Well I wouldn't call you crazy, but . . .

There is no way in the world Houston should start over Jamal. Jamal brings energy to the starting line up that sometimes we lack.
