I can't say I've watched him play- just looking at his stats, he would appear to be a slight upgrade over Nazr- perhaps a stronger defender which everyone here is screaming for.

why not keep KT, dude can shoot and plays good D. I like Kurt. I would trade Nazr before i traded KT. Nazr is overachieving and has good value now. I would like PJ at the 5 spot, he is agressive enough to handle the east and also strong enough to take on the west. I like the idea of JJ but not for KT, maybe Penny and Mohammed. Nazr is playing good ball now but, for how long. The knicks money play is pick and roll with Marbury. KT is the best pick and roll player we have to run with steph. You have to respect the shot. Pj can also hit the jump shot. Shaq clogged the lane because nazr cant shoot, in todays league you either need an athletic big man like amare or on who can shoot. This line up
steph, houston, craw, kt, pj.
I like houston coming off the bench...

If Isiah doesn't make a strong effort at acquiring Jimmy Jackson, he will regret it this season. Think about it like this, if he joins the Nets, they will kill our chances at getting to the playoffs. A lineup of JKidd, Carter, Jimmy Jackson, is much better than what we have........To avoid all of that, Isiah needs to get JImmy

Because, as you can see, JKidd just suddenly injured himself, and most of all, next season is not a promise. Check out Minesota.....

I am confused. Jimmy Jackson was recently traded. He cannot be traded till 2/27/2005. The trade deadline is 2/24/2005. Am I missing something? Why are the Nets talking to NO about JJ?

AH. I found this information.

Under NBA rules, Jackson cannot be packaged with another player by the Hornets within 60 days of the Rockets trade. However, he could be dealt alone for a package of players equal to his $2.42 million salary.

We would have to match a salary package of equal value.

The only salary that matches with JJ is a combination of Sweetney and either Ariza, Sundov or Brewer. I don't know about you but it seems like we are getting hosed on that deal.

No way I do that. There's a better chance of islesfan tatooing "I love Zeke" across his chest than there is for me accepting that.

I like Jimmy Jackson and everything, but he is no where close to the list of guys I want. We need a defensive big. If we could get PJ with him in one of those other deals posted in the offseason, then ok. I'm not ready to give up our youngins for JJ.

like JJ but, mentioning either Sweetney or Ariza is insanity. I don't think anyone at this forum would do it.

I too share the love for JJ. Lets buyout Stephon Marbury.

Then sign him off waivers for $2.4 million. And trade for Jim Jackson.
Sh-t in the popcorn to go with sh-t on the court. Its a theme show like Medieval times.

My mentioning of Sweetney and Ariza is my sarcastic nature coming out that JJ will not be a NY Knick this season.

... of course he's not going to be a Knick. There are many times lined up to get him.

Btw, Isiah hasn't been "hosed" too much since he arrived. Though many GM's throughout the league are in withdrawl not having Layden to "stick it to" anymore.

I'd like to get more than JJ and Pj brown for KT and our expiring contracts. These guys are at the tail end of their careers. I remember JJ well as far back as Ohio state and he was my favorite college player, but.....is he what we need to take it to the next level. I don't think so. Every move we make needs to be for a young athletic big who would be peaking in the next 2 to 3 years so we can make a run.

We need to take a chance on a big guy like Kwame. or we need to make a deal for some low-post scoring. Sweets is not there yet and if we got a serious low-post player, sweets could gain alot from playing against him everyday in practice and he cold still get 15-20 minutes agame at the least. He couldn't last any longer anyhow you only get 6 fouls in an NBA game.
