also Craw brings an excitement that will put butts in seats, Nene does not.

Maybe he does that, but selling tickets doesn't necsessarily win championships.
Clearly.

What's everyone's fascination with Nene on this board? He doesn't impress me. In fact, his numbers are on a decline.

I guess, but if he is such a "can't miss" commodity then why would super-GM (the 'G' is for genius) Kiki Vandewhatever sign K-Mart and Camby to play in front of him after Nene was there for 2 years? Nene is close to 7' and in 32 minutes a game last year he pulled 6.5 rebs - I don't like that stat at all. We do not need another "tiny" hearted player on our team. Doesn't 'Nene' mean baby? Look, I know the guy isn't a scrub, he's gonna be a good player with a solid NBA career, but I've never seen him show more potential than Nazr does. Maybe I'm ignorant to Nene's game, but I have a feeling he's gonna be a solid 10 and 10 role player at best for the rest of his career. Sweetney is going to be better than him. I would never trade a guy like Crawford for Nene. Despite his obvious short-comings (shot selection, lack of strength), Craw has shown bonafide superstar potential - IMO: Nene hasn't.

Say wat u want, but Nene is bout 21, 6-11 wieghs bout 260lbs, is a freak athlete, and when he was 19 in the west avg bout 11 pts and 5 reb a game and showed loads of pottentail the one time i saw him in his rookie year at the garden. with aguire's help im sure Nene woud excell in NY. how good did jermaine O'Neal look in portland behind rasheed, not as good as Nene has looked in denver at times.

exactly he is still very raw and Denver didn't have the patience to wait because they felt they were a big man away from becoming a serious team. NENE at this point does not make them a contender. but neither does a Kidd-less Martin but thats another story

Look, I know that everyone wants to cite the Jermaine O'Neal trade as if that's going to be some sort of paradigm in the NBA for years to come, but it's not. Even so, Indy traded an aging vet for Jermaine - they didn't trade an up and coming superstar. It's not like the two situations are so unbelievably parallel. Now, if we can get one of these young guys by trading KT then sign me up.

lol. "Super GM, the G is for genius" that is just classic right there.

I can't stop laughing at that. He threw K mart so much cash and he just isn't the player that he was with J Kidd. He really should have been able to see that because I did.

Okay but back to the topic at hand.
When he played us his rookie year I was at the game and he had like 5 dunks on us. Maybe you are right that craw is too much to give up, but, I like Nene. He is 7 foot with a 7'7" wingspan. If he played for the nets I bet you would think differently about him because J Kidd would bring out the best in him.

I think between Stephon feeding him off of a drive, and (Nolad get ready to laugh) Aguire working with him he could be the next Patrick-um I mean he could be a good player. We don't need great we just need a little taller and a little more athletic at the 5. I suggested Craw because I am not too keen on dealing sweets or Nazzy. I would like us to have depth at the 4 and 5.

Also you were off he played one year and then they drafted Carmello. As for the Jermaine O'neal thing, he clearly is not that. But he could be what we see in Camby, Tyson Chandler, and Dalembert.

Dalembert only avg. 7 rebounds last year in nearly 30 minutes a game.
No one in Denver is averaging over 8 a game, and I think it has more to do with the fact that they have many big guys and there are only so many rebounds to be had.

Evil what is a 7 foot freak 22 year old worth to you? Maybe we can get more for craw, but if we can I want a big man dammit.

yea, i mean i am a crawford fan and i very much so supported the trade 2 bring him here, but u cant turn down a chance 2 get certain bigs 4 a shooting guard unless the gurds name is kobe, t-mac, or lebron. noow im not sayin we shoud trade him strait up in a deal 4 nene, or kwame, or even camby. But 4 some1 like brand i think u woud hav 2 do it. this team woud b better with brand at the pf spot w/ or w/out allan at the sg than it is w/crawford. an inside combo of brand and crawford woud be really good. im just sayin that there r some situation's where a good big man just cant be passed on, and this team really needs to improve either the pf or the c spot if its gonna go 2 the nxt level.
