when you have MILT PALACIO penetrating & scoring at will, you know you have a problem.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

Dalembert is 22 7'1 and has the potential to be a 15pt 12reb 2.5blk center in the NBA. Dalembert would change the game definsivley the same way Camby did for us when we trade Oakley for him. A monster shotblocker/rebounder like takes a ton of the pressure off our guards defensivley and also makes our opponents think twice or heisitate if they do get penitration. Nazr has been solid and he is exceeding all expectations but its still not enough.

15pt is probably an overstatement-

And Fish- while Nazr is undersized, Dalembert is yes 7 ft, but what does he weigh? 198lbs??? Nazr's game offensively is developing nicely- he has good hands and cleans up penetrations & missed lay ups nicely.

True- this team might need someone in the middle like Dalembert to patrol the lane for our weak perimeter defenders-

Its just that Dalembert strikes me as another Camby type- good mostly one Dimensional player- would he fill an incredible weakness we have? Yes- but, depending on what you trade for him (if its Nazr & some other pieces) I think the hole you make is bigger.

2.5 block nothing... heck, he's been close to that now. He's a bigger Ratliff clone in the making. A 12/12/4 guy for a decade.

Knick fans are always crying about why we never get guys like Ben Wallace or Ratliff or Brad Miller, but when we have a chance to get one they cant part with Nazr Mohammed.

Nazr = nice player, good production
Dalembert = impact player, changes other teams plans when they play you.

Is Nazr + Ariza for Dalembert and Kenny Thomas overpaying? Maybe now but not in 2 years when Nazr is 30 and Dalembert is one of the best bigmen in the EC

who says Nazr isnt getting respect? IMO he's getting too much respect by suggesting the Phili wold consider trading Sam for him.

Dalembert average 12/12 and 4 blocks in his last 25 games last year. This guy has Deke type potential as a defender and shotblocker. NOBODY is afraid to drive the lane when Nazr is patrolling it. Also Nazr's blocks come off put backs and other team's offensive rebounds. When was the last time you saw an opposing guard drive the lane only to have his shot repelled by Nazr? It just doesnt happen. Nazr isnt and will never be that type of player. Hes a great hard worker and hustle guy and he's a undersized at C. Dalembert is a legit 7 footer with long arms and the ability to make opposing guards change their shots.

Ummm. What happened to the first 57 games? I am assuming he did not do as well since his average for last year was 5.3ppg and 6.8rpg. I am not saying that he is not good. I haven't been following him so I don't know much about him. All I am saying is that I would not trade Nazr for a shot blocker. I would send Sweetney before I send Nazr.

Vin and Sweetney for Dalembert and Skinner works. I'll take that. Then trade KT and either TT or Penny for a better SF. Someone like Wally. Oooh! Wally and Anthony Carter for KT and Moochie works.

He is only 22 why can't he average 15pts in his prime?? Even Mutombo averaged like 18pts some time in his career.

It says he weighs 250.

O'brien came in and moved Dalembert to the bench in favor of Marc Jackson and didn't give him hardly any time. He said he didn't fit the system.

Muhammad's offensive game really isn't that much of a need. I love the turn arounds he developed. Id rather he averaged 7pts-9rebs but have like 3blks a game and be a defensive enforcer who guards fear when they drive. Then him chip in 12-9-1. Muhammad is giving everything he got but its not enough or not what we need. We need a shotblocking freak with athletism and defensive abilities. Dalembert has those instincts his offenisve game can allways be developed.
