Yes! Even though you tried to answer your own question, he actually does give about a block a game.

He's a scorer. We have many scorers.
Then why are we 16th in the league in scoring?

What's your obsession with TT and Houston? You seem to be dead set against trading them for Vince

It's not that I don't wanna trade TT. I'll trade TT for NOBODY at this point just to get his bad contract off the books. It's that I don't want Vince Carter.

Bonn, maybe he'll give 1 blocked shot a game, but you know perfectly well what I am talking about. Vince Carter is NOT going to keep defenders from driving into the paint. If you really think so, you'll be dissapointed. You keep looking into these pointless stats like that, but Vince Carter is NOT a good defender. And just b/c he's better than Houston and Thomas doesn't mean he's better for the team. the defense is what needs to improve, and adding Vince Carter is NOT going to help that plus, he misses just as many games as anyone. I don't trust him. I'd rather we use TTs expiring contract on someone else and let Houston walk in 2007.

I accept that point. I posted earlier that we could probably find someone who fills our needs better with TT's and Penny's expiring contracts over the summer.

No one's saying Vince is a great defender. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on whether he would be able to help the team (i.e., be an upgrade) on defense though.
I'm obsessed with any stat. I just used a stat to show your statement about shot-blocking was incorrect.

Toronto GM said this morning that the roster spot that is now open was to free up Roger Mason who was on the IR.

Wanted to allow him to catch on with another team before Christmas.

Carter's going to get traded any minute... unfortunately, (going against the anti-Carter sentiment at Ultimate Knicks) I don't think he gets dealt here.
