How about this 3 way.

Knicks trade Kurt Thomas, Muhammad
Philly trades Glenn Robinson, Kenny T, Dalembert
Toronto trades Vince Carter, Marshall, Alston

Knicks rec, Marshall, Dalembert
Philly recs Vince Carter, Kurt Thomas , Alston
Toronto recs Glenn Robinson, Muhammad, Kenny T.

This one is absolutely certifiable.

... one of the problems that Crawford has to overcome is, you can just feel from time to time that he's going to launch a shot regardless of the situation. A preconceived notion.

nobody is saying Jamal doesnt need to change his shot selection. He does.. especially in critical situations. During the course of the game he's going to take some bad ones and thats ok... thats part of being a scorer. What he needs to adjust are his crunch time shooting and clock management late, but that will come.

Once again, I was at the game and it was AWESOME!!! Craw played great, he was hitting from everywhere, he also made a nice pass that found an open Houston...watching the game though, there were times when Marbs didn't even see a wide open houston and let's not forget on the 2 possessions before, first Tiny Tim flubbed a dunk and Houston mishandled a pass that led to a turnover and easy bucket.

So, yes, Craw daddy needs to learn about end of the game scenarios, but didn't Carter make a similar mistake against US just a month ago? He decided to break away from the play, early in the clock and take TT off the dribble and missed a running shot...So, looks like it's a wash, but the big difference is...CRAW is healthy and younger.

Nuff said.

w/Crawford, you have to take the bad w/the good sometimes...alot of the shots he makes when he goes on 1 of those hot streaks are horrible shots as well...i'm sure you don't complain about those, do you?

he's just a streaky shooter, period...when he's on, he's unbelievable...when he's not, he makes some boneheaded mistakes...that's part of what makes him such a dynamic player i guess.

I bet if we got Amare Stoudemire it would quickly make Steph a more mature PG.

i just want to see Steph make that constipated face again after a monster dunk by Amare...only this time as a NY Knick.

how's this instead:

NY trades Crawford, TT & Nazr
NY gets Vince, Dalembert & Marshall

TOR trades Vince, Rose & Marshall
TOR gets Crawford, GRob & Kenny T.

PHI trades Kenny T., Dalembert & GRob
PHI gets TT, Nazr & Rose

- i would hate to lose Crawford, but to add Dalembert i'd do it...plus you get Vince & Marshall who could really help us improve right now as well.

- TOR gets rid of a bad contract & a malcontented star, & they get a young, dynamic G who can form a great 1-2 punch w/Bosh someday in Crawford, along w/2 good veteran players to fill holes in their roster

- PHI gets rid of a longterm contract, a young player they seem to have fallen out of love with, & a malcontented veteran player w/an expiring contract, & get back a young, improving bigman in Nazr who can really shore up their frontcourt, along w/a good versatile swingman in Rose who would work well alongside AI...TT is off their books after 1 more year, & maybe he needs the change of scenery...he's played there before & did a decent job for them off the bench.

thoughts?

Is this dalembert guy this good? basically, we lose all of last year's work for bodies that need to reaclimate?

I'm telling you, THEY LOVE CRAW AT THE GARDEN.

I think that trade would make Jim OBrien quit again. Not his type of players and phili takes back a ton of cash. No way Phili does that.

everyone has been pining for this team to get a young, tall, athletic bigman who can rebound & block shots w/big upside...that is Dalembert to a T.

if you wouldn't give up Crawford & Nazr to land yourself someone like Dalembert AND a Vince Carter, then i just don't know what to tell you...be happy w/Crawford's AND1 game & watch other teams win in the playoffs...i have no problem w/Crawford, i love his shenanigans to death...he's become my favorite player on this team...but to get a team of:

C - Dalembert / Baker
PF - KT / Marshall / Sweetney
SF - Vince / JYD / Ariza
SG - Houston / Penny
PG - Marbury / Moochie
IR - Brewer / Sundov

i would have to make that deal.

your point about them taking back too much in salary is valid, but Nazr would be an O'Brien favorite instantly...& i really can see Iverson & Rose playing well together in their backcourt w/Nazr in the middle.

i like the knicks as they are

Honestly. I do.

Really, I do.

If Vin and TT wake up, I will REALLY REALLY like these knicks to get to the eastern conference finals.

if seattle can do it, so can we.

Does the salary match for Philly??? they give up Kenny T, Dalembert, & GRob but Rose & TT alone should equal that salary alone shouldn't they??

We could offer Toronto: Houston, Norris & future first rder for Alston, Carter & Murray. Alston though has many many yrs on his contract he gets paid cheap and he is exactly what we need as a backup to Marbury as he can definatly play excellent defense. Those games when Marbury is getting torched by Francis or freaking Earl Watson. Alston can come in and do some damage. Murray can be bought out as he has 2yrs left. We can go atheltic with Marbury, Crawford, Carter or we can go physical with Alston, Carter, JYD if Marbury becomes a liability. Or Crawford is getting out muscled.

I really like these Knicks as well. We need some improvement in areas but I have faith Zeke will fill it in down the line. We have competed with Indy & Pistons and both came down to the wire in playoff like games. We lost both but we have come a long way since last season. We can easily sit on this team. Wait untill the offseason and work with Tim Thomas, Hardaway, Kurt Thomas, Muhammad, Norris, Baker as movable pieces in the offseason. Plus we have our draft pick and we can't count out our 2nd rd pick with Zeke as our GM.

We dont need a young, tall, athletic big man as much as we need a young tall PF/C that can score in the post. Everyone has been pining for a low post threat. Of course, a Dalembert will help but thats not what everyone is pining for.

you won't need a scoring bigman as much if you have 3 perimeter players like Marbury, Vince & Houston on the team...all you need is a guy like KT who can work off the pick & roll along w/a shotblocking defensive minded C who can patrol the paint, because our perimeter defense is about as bad as any team in the league...i would bet you that Dalembert would average at least 10 ppg anyway w/Marbury dishing the ball to him on penetration.
