Another early UK era pickup. He started a nice run of undersized, unathletic big men that couldn’t shoot or defend. Weatherspoon, Othella Harrington, Mike Sweetney, Malik Rose, Mo Taylor.

Ive been suffering from his hands in the past month when he played a very very good finals series against my team "Bayern Munich" in the German league. In the end he won against a favoured Bayern side.
And he played a very solid role for his team!
He has been around for quite a while and has extensive experience playing in multiple countries even despite his young age! He is a little bit of a tweener between PG and SG... has good shot making abilities (solid 3 even thought he is not a sniper/specialist) but also solid playmaking capabilities with good instincts.
He is a very good bad-shot-maker... but I think he lacks a little bit the handles and pressure resistance to be a full-blown PG/Floor General!

Defensively he can be a pest but needs to show it full-time every possecion!!!

All in all I think at that spot in the draft he is a great gamble with a very solid chance to pan out for the FO.
Thing is... whats his role... I really do not think he "needs" the G-League since he has been playing grown man basically for 3-4 years already in Europe. Its more about finding minutes for him to settle in within the speed and athlecisism of the NBA!
But who are you taking the minutes away? Jose? Nope... way better Playmaker and secondary ball-handler... Deuce? Might be, but Deuce has a strong fan-base within the oragnization it seems and has proven he deserves minutes.

Biggest what-if and disappointment was not landing Steph Curry in the draft. He wanted the Knicks, everyone knew the Knicks wanted him. Why didn’t we just trade whatever to move up ahead of golden state. Minnesota had back to back picks which would have been an easy trade-up scenario. Just never made sense. He was the guy. That was a haunting one that was exasperated by Jordan Hill being such a bust. That was 17 year ago and it took until Brunson got here to fully recovery from missing out on him.

Fun fact about Jared Jeffries too; he played most of 6 seasons for the Knicks, which is firmly in the top 30 all time and only trails Mitch Robinson (8) and Melo (7) for most seasons with the Knicks during this century. Jeffries missed a lot of time due to injury, but he was on the team for quite some time.
