Went to the parade and me and my oldest son got to Broadway between Fulton St and Ann St. It was crazy! Loved every minute of it. Fuck them picks!

Dolan just can't help himself but to ruin every moment. He just can't read the room that NY does not like his orange buddy and loves the Mayor. It is meant to be a moment to celebrate and he wants to take shots at the Mayor. I can't wait until he can just be quiet and stay out of the way again.

Awesome speech!!! But of course, our owner still cant get out of his own way...smh

I wonder who wrote Mamdani’s speech for him. They did a pretty good job 👍 had to be a legit fan or sports geek

Very possible he had a writer for his speech.

But he's also only been Mayor for 6 months. Very good odds he could have been a legit fan or sports geek before taking on the responsibilities of mayor.

He was 24 and a foreclosure prevention councelor when Langston Galloway played for the Knicks. Does any of that somehow stop him from having been such?

Or is this a case of sarcasim going over my head?

I'll make a point of not seeking out that video clip. Sigh, Dumb bastard

Well Dolan gets both a thank you for finding and funding good people to build a team and a fck you for dragging his maga knuckles into the narrative

The Mayor's speech was sweet and I want that and Alicia singing and the Knicks vibing to be my memory of this

Happy for all of you who got to hang there today

Yes I was doubting his fandom. He’s a little young to be recalling the 70 & 73 championships or flickering tv’s in bars like the old tube tv’s with bad reception. Maybe he is a fan and watched every game, every team like the rest of us but being a long suffering fan is the popular thing to do now with the championship especially in a profession that is a popularity contest by nature.

I looked at his wiki page. There is a very brief description of his personal life but it does say that he is a Knicks fan. I wonder if that was just added, it did look odd squeezed in the short paragraph. He does have a top notch pr department. So basically all that and politicians don’t write their own speeches, they have professional speech writers. It is possible he edited the speech and added some of his own personal Knicks memories but who really knows. I guess it doesn’t really matter. If he wants to claim the Knicks. Heck maybe he is a homer like the rest of us

What a celebration!

Love this team, love this Franchise, **** Dolan (but thanks for Leon and 'Always a Knick'), KAT dripping with NY swag, and Pat gets a parade!

But the absolute highlight for me was Clyde rocking the Super Mario Sunshine hoodie.

Parade was something I'll never ever forget! I just feel bad cause 80% of people who went didn't get to see ****! I got there at 5am, waited 2 hours on this line, got off the line cause it wasn't moving and it felt like a total waste of time. Started walking with no plan in mind, saw bunch of people jumping barricades on Liberty Street and followed them onto Broadway. Got a so-so spot and waited a few more hours. Left as soon as Brunson's float passed by. Best part for me was seeing Ewing happy. I wanted this for him so much as a kid and for him to experience it (albeit not as a player but still part of the team) meant the world to me!

Of course there were a few knuckleheads who couldn't help themselves but act rowdy. A couple of fights almost broke out cause people were trying to be slick and push their way onto the front. Thankfully nothing escalated in my area.

I don't get how some people were able to climb on some buildings! I had the chance to climb onto the 2nd floor of a building and sit on the window but decided not to even risk it cause if I fell and hurt myself, I would've been screwed! Kind of regret not trying though cause I would've had a much better view.

Some of you would've been in heaven cause I saw a lot of obese women who shouldn't be wearing what they were wearing. LOL!

Got home and my back and feet were killing me! Glad I went though! Something to cross off the bucket list! I do hope that they modify it next time so more people can actually watch the floats and the team.

Yeah Mamdani is a tremendous speaker. That was a great speech. Dolan was annoying. I actually wasn’t in love with Brunsons speech but I don’t expect much from them in that regard so it’s fine.

Pretty much my experience at the 2009 Yankees parade. You were lucky to see the top of a float from 3 blocks out
