What I love about these moves? It's like Leon is saying, sure we traded 5 picks for Mikal,
but I will get those picks back throughout the season with moves like this.

Picks of unknown position and quality of the picks do matter.
We see many first round players are getting moved out for either roster squeeze or financial ramifications.
There are always players that need an opportunity and if we have space and money we can use it as you said.
"Five picks" is arbitrary concept.

At the end of the day knicks are doing quite well and model for knicks needs development without its bevy of picks. Miami did it for years as have others.

Does anyone here think Thibs actually notices when we sign another “Two way deal”?
Or does he just think to himself …… great, another guy we have to get caught up, who will never see any PT.

Is Wroten still available?

Thibs is everywhere! Nothing gets by him.........
He sees these players as fresh meat! Maybe they have the fire and will put in the work.
