The entire roster looks great. It;s obvious but it just comes down to health. This is the nicest looking Knicks team Ive seen in my adult life. They have top end talent, youth, chemistry etc.

At this moment, there's not a single albatross contract on the books. Not something you can often say (if at all) about the Knicks teams of the past 25 years. Let's hope OG stays healthy and keeps it so.

The only one we had from the previous regime was Noah's, and that contract was from the regime before that.

They stretched out the payments for more cap flexibility I guess, instead of one lump sum.

The last couple of years it was EF eating $18m doing nothing on the bench. Before Noah it was Stat. Before him someone else going all the way back to McDyess

Brunson and Randle will play the same 2-man game they were killing teams with prior to his injury. Mikal & OG will be ideal 3&D fits on the perimeter around them.

Randle operating successfully as a small ball center would be what could propel the team to another level. Have the Gs & Wings to cover while capitalizing on the spacing and ball movement.

Josh did well covering the 4.
Feel that the NBA is going to a small ball high pace driven lineups.
Josh fits that.
Precious can always step in against big line ups.
Keep saying that we should not be surprised with a lot of Randle, Hart, OG, Bridges and JB.

Why does everyone ignore that Julius has been historically (all-time) bad in 2 playoff performances.

I believe the stat floating around recently is - Over the past 40 years 573 players have played over 15 playoff games - of those 573 players Julius Randle is the ONLY player to shoot below 35% from the floor and below 30% from 3.

Julius being Julius = Hard to trust the man in the playoffs

The Atlanta series was indeed a **** show. Atlanta played great defense, and had Randle’s number. And he had nobody to pass to, including Reggie Bullock who never got open that series. It also didn’t help that the league was favoring little flopping bitches that year, making it a short series.

Two years ago he had an ankle injury, and ankle surgery right after. I’m posting at 3AM because I rolled my ankle Sunday. Walking to the mailbox is an adventure.

Julius has improved throughout his career. And next playoffs he’ll be surrounded by talent and snipers. Personally, I’m not worried about Julius at all.

If we have an Achilles heel it’s center. Joker. Embiid Giannis (yeah I know PFJ KP even clevland. As we get deeper into playoffs size will matter. Maybe it’s in house with Sims Skap or Big Mermaid but we need someone who can at least bang bodies. Precious is a PF willing to play 5 or do anything else thibs asks but the reality is we need someone big who is reliable.

Regarding Julius Iirc his shoulder injury is his non shooting hand ( better than the alternative). With all the increased shooting around him he will make a big leap. High hopes

Yup PF and C are super thin. I'm not as high on this roster as everyone else.

OG is going to take all of the backup PF mins. Donte & Hart will command 20+mins a game pushing Mikal & OG to play SF & PF a good portion even if they were to get 30mins a game. They are going to play 50% of their mins at those positions.

If Randle (knock on wood) misses a few games. OG will be the starting PF, Mikal will slide to SF, Donte probably slides in the starting lineup at SG.

In terms of winning a championship. Sure the hole at the Center position is a huge liability for the roster. Regular season though, team is going to win a lot of games. By the trade deadline this coming season. Odds are high moves are made to remedy the C depth for a playoff push.

That's fine in short spurts, but that doesn't win playoff basketball and you are risking injury to an injury prone player

Did you miss this last playoffs? Cause it doesn't seem like you learned the lesson. Randle kindly gave us the opportunity to see what those minutes would be like, and it was extensive.

This year will tell all. Hoping he can get to the playoffs injury free, and that he can show out. If he stinks it up again, its going to be hard to ignore. But I don't think so. I think with this supporting staff, he's going to do fine.

Jules has run into trouble in the past when he's tried to play heroball. With a stacked squad, and time, the hope is that he wont feel the need to try to win a playoff game almost singlehandedly.
