I became a knicks fan (Richie Guerin, Kenny Sears) around 1958 when I was going to PS14. In 1959 we won a city title that's when some of the coaches from Saint Anthony's tried to recruit me but I chose to go to Lincoln High in Jersey City and I played the point and shooting guard. We had a big game one night and I had to choose between playing basketball or singing with my singing group at an armature contest at the theater and guess which one I choose.
