A couple of PF's I have been open to are Jackson, Ingram, Pascal and Grant. Ingram and Pascal will be too expensive. However, Grant should be available and seems to be a good fit. He will average $33M for next 3 years. So decent value. He fits with JB and would work well if another star at the 2 was added. Maybe Blazers flip Randle for extra picks if they continue to rebuild, shed salary with expiring EF or add pieces around Randle to be competitive? Randle, Fournier, Arcidiacono, two seconds for Grant, Brogdon.
The dream would be Jackson. Probably not something that the Grizzlies are close to doing but worth hoping. Would obviously take a lot of picks but maybe if they do not do anything this year they try to save some salary being a smaller market team? So, Jackson, Kennard (gives us another shooter), Williams for Randle, Fournier, Sims and three firsts.
Feelings?
Sacrilege bro!
I feel like we've been posting on forums together since the days of the.Marbury trade and now you're suggesting JJJ as an upgrade to JR? What! Every thing that has gone right for this franchise started with Julius and he's still the heart and soul of the team. He's the definition of bleeding orange and blue. His contract extension more or less set the bar for every contract following it because the front office can point to it as a fair market deal.
There's still the lingering concern about playoff performance but the way I see it is that post Milwaukee perfect 1st half Julius has leveled up by attacking the basket. Outside of the stinker vs. Philly he has been unstoppable. And you can see that now that he has an all defense running mate he's really picked up his game on defense as well.
So no man. We're winning a banner with Julius or we're not winning a banner. No other way.
