thats exactly why you cant overreact about one game or even a couple games. The Spurs just choked a double digit 4th qtr lead away to the Raptors who were sitting Vince in the entire 4th qtr.

It happens in the NBA every night. Heck, the expansion Raptors beat the 72 win Bulls team.

You have to look at groups of games, and trends for teams. How do they play after losses, how do they play when they start slow, lose leads, get leads, etc.

If the Knicks win tonight they will be 5-5. Thats not great but when you look at the scedule as a whole you can say they played some OK basketball. Maybe they lose tonight and win the next 4.

The Hawks do have some good players and weapons, but the difference between good and bad teams is the ability to close games out down the stretch. We did a good job against Hou and Cle. Not good enough against Dal.

To me this is where Marbury and Crawford and KT have to make their mark. When its crunchtime thats when you need your big guns to hit shots that put the game away.

i understand your point but you mention the spurs and the bulls. they are 55+ win teams that are expected to beat everybody so when something like this happens, it's a blip on the radar.

we are struggling to get to .500 and need to play hard every single game. that's why tonight is one of those games we "have to" win if we're going to build on recent performances. a loss tonight sets us back more than a loss to the spurs or dallas. and it's a home.

is the season over with a loss tonight, of course not BUT a win tonight means we're actually making some progress as a team. a loss tonight means we're still the same team with chaney and layden.

Fishy did you see the game?

I watched that game on Sunday and you say Spurs chocked ,I beg to differ. What happened was Toronto started to play defense and they actually sat Vince Carter(who was 2-9) in the 4th period. Their reserves came in and took over the game. Rose was watching from the sidelines too. Wednesday watch and see how the Raptors play at home against the knicks. No cake walk there, both teams will be playing 2nd game in a row.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

What? Every game is crucial to 20, 40, and 60 win teams.

Mike Woodson should have been a much better Knick than he was.

I hated the Newlin trade.

We can put this game away early if we just knock off the dumb fouls.

Marbury would have more assists if we could hit our lay-ups.

It bugs me that Rick Barry's kid is almost bald already.

We should be winning by more. We need to be crisper on O.
