Yeah, but I remember that one time this orange skinned prune went all in about wall on the Mexican border. And Mexico was going to pay for it. Seemed ridiculous at the time, but all the stupid people stateside ate it up. A lot of smart people as well, but mostly stupid people. My point is that stupid people form one of the strongest voting blocks in the US. Never underestimate the crap stupid people are willing to stand behind.

Briggs has mentioned his family falling victim to Nazi cleansing.
Yet he leans toward sociopath fascist who projects charismatic message catering to the vulnerable conservative whose collective self esteem depends on perceiving oneself as superior citizen based in race.
I don't understand this line of thinking.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/07/26/vivek-ramaswamy-2024-presidential-campaign/

Billed as “America First 2.0,” an argument that Trump did not go far enough in passing his policy agenda as president, Ramaswamy’s platform — which leans heavily on executive actions — includes raising the voting age to 25 unless certain requirements are met, ending affirmative action “in every sphere of American life,” shutting down the FBI, and trimming 75 percent of executive branch employees to reduce the size of the “administrative state.”

“It shows, frankly, a historically unprecedented disregard for the powers laid out in the Constitution, which are that the president is supposed to execute the law, not just create new ones willy-nilly,” presidential historian Lindsay Chervinsky said of the plans. “This is unprecedented in its disregard for that power sharing structure laid out in the Constitution.”

On Thursday in New Hampshire, Ramaswamy unveiled the details of his plan to shut down the FBI, as well as the Department of Education and National Regulatory Commission, surrounded by charts covered in red strike marks and arrows. The next day, he was back in Iowa hosting an event that rhymes with the pronunciation of his first name: “Lunch Break with Vivek.” He recently followed in Trump’s footsteps by releasing a list of possible Supreme Court nominees if elected, including Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Ted Cruz (R-Tex.)

He has also faced pushback on his approach to foreign policy, including ceding support for Ukraine to negotiate a peace treaty with Russia and his unorthodox approach on other matters. “You want to stop Xi Jinping from invading Taiwan, put a gun in every Taiwanese household!” Ramaswamy exclaimed in his NRA speech.

Some have criticized Ramaswamy for shifting positions. After the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol by a pro-Trump mob, Ramaswamy tweeted that what Trump did was wrong and “downright abhorrent” regarding his handling of the day. Now, as a candidate, he has continued to criticize Trump’s actions on Jan. 6 but has also been one of his loudest defenders, including against a potential indictment over the day.

In June, when Trump was arraigned on federal charges at a courthouse in Miami, Ramaswamy was in front of the courthouse, calling on every other presidential candidate in the race to commit to pardoning Trump if elected

He is not the first and he really isn't that great at it. There have been better. He is just the latest brown face to do it for the conservatives. He is not that good. He knows what he has to say to get what he wants from those who will reward him for being their avatar.

They likely werent as extreme, full blown fascists. Dont like the way young people are voting? Take away their vote. That goes beyond the usual gerrymandering.

I’ll go one step further than the bolded part: he is most likely a “paid” mouthpiece from the likes of Peter Thiel and the like. Buyer beware.

Guys like Thiel and Musk are influencing far too much because of their unique wealth and positions in our country and globally. Unfortunately. And for the worse.

You brought up Peter Thiel, a married gay dude who routinely backs people who are disgusted by him. At least I can understand that. He's essentially motivated by greed and tax cuts. I can't understand the average Joe living in a state that has a minimum wage of $7/hr, with ridiculous medical bills that may never get paid off and a stake in the American dream that has withered away the past few decades. There is no master race and there are no plans of upward mobility for the poor and middle class under the corporate prostitutes we have masquerading as politicians. This country has become the Matrix, but instead of killer robots harvesting us it's soulless corporations.

Nah, it will be streamed by Amazon Prime on VR goggles that are also subsidized by Amazon on the condition that they are surgically (I hope) drilled into our skulls. Instead of last names we'll unique barcodes branded on our palms that will allow us to make instantaneous Prime transactions and give law enforcement the ability to scan our details with special readers on their military vehicles.

Billionaires like Thiel know that massive tax cuts for the rich. Fortune 500 companies who pay zero federal taxes, has consequences for the poor and middle classs. Thats why he tried to buy all that land in New Zealand. Billionaires invest a great deal of money into creating scapegoats. There are lots of folks out there who are hungry for one. The more vulnerable the better.

When you hear Ramaswamy talk about defunding the FBI. It would kick it to the states to pick up the slack. Many states couldnt afford to pay for the resources needed to handle crimes which would usually involve the Feds. Crime would skyrocket, social unrest, and all the excuse he would need as president to declare a permanent state of martial law. That would be the end game when you hear Ramaswamy talk about gutting the FBI.

Yeah, and I remember the copious amounts of vitriol that people (me included) spewed on the prune for the plans to build the wall. Yet now I am reading that under his presidency only 52 miles were built. And Biden has continued building the wall, and it's suddenly ok. What gives?

The problem with politics and voters is not that they are stupid. It is that the problems and issues are not correctly defined.

We are watching a Republican party without any shame to their game going all all out to suppress the vote of groups who vote against their candidates. The Republican party has gone all out to target labor unions, health benefits, and benefits like sick leave. Target and marginalize all homosexuals ( not just trans ) and put Police at risk by abolishing sensible gun laws. But most of all, support a President who tried to over throw a election he lost. A President who internationally benefited when the Kurds defeated ISIS.Then sold out the Kurds to Turkey. Same President who tried to blackmail the Ukrainians and support Russian aggression. Allowing Russians to expand influence in the middle East. Not typical Republican policy to reward American enemies and sell out allies. Republicans always in the past made some coherent sense and a ability to compromise sensibility. Ramaswamy offers no alternative to MAGA in anyway.

Biden is not terrible. He is not perfect. I am an adult I don't expect a President to be perfect. But what you mean is he is not funny or entertaining. Trump was non stop entertainment for his supporters. Didn't matter that his family and friends made billions on deals often in China and insider trading. Don't matter that the debt always explodes under Republicans. Doesn't matter that the economy is stabilizing now under Biden and the country doesn't have to wake up with its leader huddling in private with Putin, praising dictators around the world, threatening war with North Korea. But Hunter lap top right ...But Hilary Clinton right... Lol. Listen say what you want about Biden he is not going to create a lie to remain in power if he loses the election. Biden has been a better President then Trump hands down. I know your going to call him Brandon right ?

You aren't really that interested in learning, and quite frankly, on this type of topic, I think you come from a point of well established ignorance.

It is a waste of our collective time to have this discussion with you, as you have established that for us too.

Previously, you and I have had multiple offline as well as online discussion about how you would stick to only Knicks topics on our website and I'd like to hold to that. I am not interested in your participation on this type of thing, already tried it.

Thanks.

Biden did not continue with that failed effort of wall building stupidity, quite the opposite.
