Why not bring Melo back. Rather have Melo than Blake.

That's the 9 man rotation / positional placements I would like us to stick to.

jHart is 6'4. Yeah, he can play tenacious D, but he is going to have problems with larger PFs. Randle is in foul trouble against Giannis and you are throwing Hart at him? They need to have some depth there. Its a hole.

Really not feeling the 4-Guard alignment which seems to be the plan for next season. Rebounding and low post defense still matter

Don't really love Taj as a 4 or emergency Randle replacement.

No one does but maybe that's why he is only emergency replacement.

I’d rather have Gibson than Griffin. I’d also rather have Trendon Watford than both of them but I’m sure he’s waiting for the right opportunity where he can play consistently.

Rooting for Roby. He is a knick for now.
If FO finds a better alternative that falls out a roster, so beit.

Knicks may not be in line for a star but can help facilitate as a third team and profit from it.

I don't think they are going to exchange EF's expiring contract for anything less than a star player trade. With Brock Aller you know there is a long range salary cap plan. We could be in position to sign a FA in 2026 if we stay the course cap wise. 2026 has a very large and very good FA class

Gibson would have an easier time blending in, knowing Thibs, and how he does things. Natural leader.

Would prefer (if doable) someone who could start if Randle starts missing games. Not sure Gibson is up to the task at this point in his career.

We had that in Obi and Thibs hardly played him. That's the conundrum. Any player on that level is not going to want to come here for 10 minutes a game. Unfortunately, that leaves us looking at vets like Taj or developmental guys who could pop like Knight and Sims.

True, you have to hope that Obi's style of play had something to do with it. Maybe a player who checks more of Thibs boxes, would get more PT.

Believe its a mistake for Thibs (and the FO) to hitch their wagon to Randle next season. Expecting him to play like an ironman next season. Not after the multiple ankle injuries late last season.

Randle is almost 30, I will be pleasantly surprised if it doesnt cut into his availability next season. The FO can always trade for a quality backup. If an FA isnt interested. Hate to blow a good playoff run because of a lack of depth.

Taj has.still got it. Would love to see him come back.

As long as we're realistic about what "it" is, I agree. He's definitely capable of filling the 12-15 mpg backup role, although I'd like to see Sims get some consideration. If he's OK without guaranteed minutes (wasn't that why he left for Washington?), bring him back!

I think losing DRose's presence in the locker room is a bigger hit than we've acknowledged. Taj's leadership would be very much welcomed.

The thing I like about Jericho Sims is his footwork. He closes out and stays in front of his man incredibly well for a big man. With IQ, DDV, jHart and iHart next to him, I think he is a fine candidate for 15 mins per game. I like his pairing with iHart a lot.

Spot on

Would love to see Jericho get the job. Can he just score cause if he can't keep the defense honest the opponent will scheme for him not being a threat and that will punish the other four Knicks on the floor. Yet, no rush, they can trade for PF or still sign one if needed. Plus draft one next season.

I mean, he can fly. So with IQ, DDV, Hart and Hart you have 4 solid passers next to him. If you don’t keep a body in front of him you get a highlight reel dunk. 6’10 with a 44” vertical? Can’t shoot a lick but I mean, neither can Robinson.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Well if Heart can shoot the 3 at a decent clip then Jericho can take up the dunking role, but it would be great if he could hit a shot from 10-15 ft
