Isaiah Roby was a really solid reserve his second and third year in the league. The backup power forward slot is his if he can find his three point shooting stroke.

I think RJ can definitely play the 4 in a smaller lineup or for some spot backup minutes.

Think I noted this in some other post but Donte had more +5 assist games last year than IQ.

I think it was 24 games which seems pretty damn good for a guy off bench playing ~26 mins a game.

Other things are - he makes quick decisions, no selfishness, rebounds and defends at a high level.
Throw in he shoots high volume of 3’s so his #s aren’t based in 2 or 3 attempts but he’ll let it fly.
SMART PLAYER and I have to assume Knicks will add/trade for a longer 3/4 at some point to lengthen the rotation some.

Idontknow but watching those 22-23 Donte highlights and he looks like better passer vs anyone we have right now.

You know who would have loved playing with him… Obi! Is the irony.

He’s going to really help create multiple lineups and make the game easier. We will be able to stagger minutes. He can play some point and the 2 with Brunson allowing RJ to be the offensive focal point with Randle and Brunson off the floor.

Great cultural fit and another very good contract.
