Knicks did maximize Randle into an all NBA guy.

Hard balance as neither guy could play a different position.

I mean the pick never really made sense unless they had a trade for Randle. Haliburton was the obvious choice when we didn’t have a PG and was project as high as 5. I’m happy for Toppin and hope he does well. Just wish we could capitalize on youth.

I personally didn’t like the pick but it wasn’t like Randle was showing us anything either at that point.

Heck let's get Devin Cassell for some second rounders or Deni. If these players aren't worth a big extension teams are trading em for second rounders

So if Thibs is now shadow GM with perry gone does that mean we are signing Taj to backup Randle at PF? Maybe Joakim wants to give it another shot

This is a ****ing disgrace.

So Leon turned a lottery pick and 2 first rounders into Josh Hart and 2 second rounders.

This trade is embarrassing. He’s going to be dunking on our ****ing heads. Awful move to trade him to a team that’s going to likely be better than us and has the offense he will thrive in. We needed to move him out west.

Short sighted move.

Toppin never had a chance here. I will follow his career and wish him well. Thibs is a player killer. You mean he couldn't find him another 10 min.per game?

I hope Obi lights it up. Like the kid. But we need defenders.

I wanted Halliburton on draft night. But…if we take Hali do we now have Brunson? I’d rather have Brunson.

Overreactions and declarations of complete failure are expected. Personally I think it’s okay not to like it but uncool to freak. Especially when there’s more to come. And let’s see if Obi shows Thibs to have been a fool - you know like Cam did.

I think we all wish we had a from office that is able to think on their feet and be creative. Look at the Lakers, Pacers, and Dallas making moves recently maximizing assets.

Right, plus including Dallas in any discussion about maximizing assets should come with a gigantic asterisk that Dallas is filling the black hole sized gap in their cap they creatively left open by forgetting to tie up Brunson to a 4 year $50M contract when they could. Also, have fun with the Flat Earther.
