How many years would the knicks window be if they trade for PG-13? At 33 years old, how many more years can the knicks have of prime pg-13 before we can see a start of a decline in his game. If the knicks get him for sure the roster depth will be compromised, how can Thibs replicate his bench unit dominance last year? Can the knicks win with just having a dunking Mitch on offense?

The only thing I don't like with PG-13 is his age. Missing a handful of games the last few years might be able to help his overall wear and tear. I can see some chemistry and respect between Randle and PG-13 during the podcast. If the all-in-move of this office is pG-13, i think they would need 2-3 more moves to complete the offseason.

Will this be enough? Finally bring in Rokas, Sign DiVincenzo and somehow find a way to get Naz Reid to the knicks. If the trade package includes RJ, iQ and Obi plus the expiring of Fournier, will bringing in these 3 new guys be enough to put the knicks at par with Boston? I cant decide whats a better move, PG13 or Lavine as the main offseason move for the knicks FO.

I don't know if this is possible, but i would much rather hear that we are looking to turn Randle and other stuff into #3 and Simons... I feel like that makes way more sense than trading for PG

if the deal was EF, Rose & Obi and maybe some draft picks, how do you not do that deal? Because had we had George against Maimi - and he had been healthy, which I know is an issue - we're in the finals.

Of course, if you are adding IQ to Obi & the rest, then that becomes a very hard trade to make, and certainly one I would not make.

If we Sign DiVInchenzo does Grimes go out on trade? For a pick? part of a bigger deal?
Is Grimes the back up then at SG?
DiVin back one year past ACL so he should be even better going forward.
I can't invision how PG fits here unless I also understand what Clippers are doing? This big ass contrats are problematic given new CBA and we don't have any of them!!!!

Like I said before. Leon is bargain hunting. He’s setting up multiple scenarios and seeing what’s in the playing field, that’s it. If a PG trade happens, it’s in our favor, trust me. So I’m looking at this from a positive. When healthy and when he’s on, he can carry a team. He’s also another weapon on the floor where players can’t just leave him like they do with RJ and Mitch. Small ball lineups with PG at PF. I mean there’s negatives of course but the positives are just as interesting.

Key phrase for today!

“AT WHAT PRICE”

And what’s the impact on the youth development?

Yeah - I would be all over this as it keeps us with young talent instead of our history of takng former, injured, overpaid stars for one last ride. Would hate if we traded for P. George unless it was essentially free and a short-term rental

Kiki Vandeweghe, Penny, McGrady, S.Francis... that's just off the top of my head

Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right. - The Tick

He’s older and injury prone but the fit is flawless

Have to wonder if there’s a trade out there were Knicks send players and picks to Chicago, Bulls send LaVine to the clippers since he’s local to them, and Clippers send George to the Knicks. This move allows the clippers to save face on a PG deal by getting back a star caliber player who is younger and has played in more games, plus the local ties makes him sellable. Bulls can get their desired package for LaVine and Klutch doesn’t have to worry about him landing with the Knicks. And Knicks get their guy in PG. Seems like all sides would have reason to be motivated. Obviously PGs age and injury history makes it a gamble, but the ceiling with him is as high as any other player the Knicks could ever realistically get.

I really don't want PG if it includes a ton of assets but out of all the stars that are rumored to be available (LaVine, KAT, Zion, Lillard) he is the best one in terms of contract and fit.
