Thibs at the combine, looking chipper.

Knicks don't have any draft picks in 2023 draft. Grant Nelson was the only name I've read in reports. But that appears to be BS.

What is your best guess as to what the FO will do?

Trade a player for a 1st round draft pick
Trade a future 1st round pick for a 1st round pick this year
Trade a player in a deal for a 1st round draft pick
Make no moves

Don’t the Pacers have 3 or 4 picks?

Pacers have 26, 29 and 32 (and their own lottery pick)

So pacers have all those picks with an interest in Obi and according to rumors, looking to dump Duarte? Looks like a match to me.

Glad we have a competent FO to make the right move(s).

I think I'd just take the picks. They can keep Duarte.

no you mean guys 4-5 years older with more NBA experience and a few rounds of playoffs under their belt. Experience does matter doesnt it?

of course it does. but it's also true some guys have a clutch gene and some don't, e.g., you would agree you expect Brunson's shot to go in, but Randle's far less certain

Lots of ways to get picks. We have a bunch of future first rounders we can use to trade into this draft if there's a player we really like. You can pay cash for 2nd rounders. Knicks will likely have some activity on draft night.

Minority opinion acknowledged.

Haha. I hope I’m wrong (Knick success over everything) but I have feeling this wagon is going to get a bit crowded after next season.

well fans are stupid so lets keep that in consideration. Happy we have a FO that builds a team and isnt concerned about emo fans

2 playoffs in 3 years under Thibs. Young players developing. Mature players getting better. Picks being added not discarded. Developed 2x all star. Attracted best FA signing of any team last offseason. Top rated offense... Its hard to add up all the factors that must have Knick fan's hating on Thibs. Only a matter of time.

Swishfm3 keep up the good work

The Knicks have enough draft capital and young players that if they want a late 1st round pick, they can work a deal to get one. It really just comes down to finding a player worth doing a deal. We really only need two things: (1) a shooter who can also defend; and (2) a top flight 6'8"-6'9" defensive stopper who can match up with guys like Butler and Tatum. If a promising player is available later in the draft who can do one of these two things, then the knicks will probably try to get him.
