I have laid off for a while but when you write ridiculous stuff like this it's hard not to step back in the ring.

What kind of jobs have you had where candidates are interviewed and then management sticks with the current job holder? Really curious to hear your answer.

Also, do you really think management is out of step with what Thibs has accomplished this year?

Thirdly, what were your expectations going into the season? This is at least a conference finals squad? Giannis is out and KD and Booker are about to be trounced and after a huge win your upset the Knicks haven't swept Miami yet?

I guess coaching doesn't impact rebounding. Knicks are just getting lucky there I suppose, since...you know... the Knicks have grabbed 6 more rebounds per game than the Heat. IS that coaching? Or just want to. Doesn't coaching impact that too? Or no...probably not...

What about the bench scoring and availability? Thibs failed us there too I guess. Oh wait, never mind, we don't currently have a bench. Free OBI!! Oh wait, he's a mess every other game, lately.

The Thibs bitching from this so called knowledgeable NY fan base, is not our best moment as fans. Which is a kind way of saying some of you are lost.

what evidence do you have that the FO has stopped trying to improve? there's lots of evidence that the fire or dump everyone doesn't work except for the dopamine hit

Budenholzer is a great coach. would have loved to hire him over FIzzdale. But Thibs is two time CoY and kind of made for NY. The idea of going out and kicking the tires on a new coach when Thibs has done what he's done with the roster he has is ridiculous. Take a look at the top two or three players for each remaining team and compare to Randle and Brunson. He has done a lot more with less. Talking to those coaches would absolutely poison the Thibs relationship we have and the culture he and the FO have in fact been instituting/ So you can say agree to disagree but the position isn't the kind of reasonable disagreement. It's just some one trying to provoke others with suggestions that make zero sense

And as much as i love budenholzer it is very strange they dumped him. There might be a sense that he's a better regular season coach than a playoff coach. When an opponent has a chance to lock onto you for a series and make game to game adjustments, it's a different beast

I would tell you to watch the games. They can literally get a wide open 3 at will on way too many possessions. Do you think we get as many easy buckets and clean looks as they do? We're forced to take more difficult shots and everything comes harder for us. It's so easy to see. And they're not more talented than us, but they're smarter and they know what to do with the ball.

For me it's the total lack of adjustments. They're getting the same open shots they did earlier in the series. We won last night because they missed more of those wide open 3's than they normally do. We can't take the next 2 games like that, more of those are going to fall in if we're not contesting them but I don't see any evidence that we're going to be able to do that.

Spo is a hall of fame level coach but you're reaching to make an Anti-Thibs argument that really isn't there. For instance I can reverse your point and say that Knicks have also had many open 3s and missed open 3's in games 1 and 4 probably cost them those games. Not sure how people can look at this series and say, my god we just won against a team that has a HoF coach, has a number of seasoned vets with championship or deep playoff experience, was in the finals 2 years ago and the Conference finals last year and took down the Bucks in 5 this year....and say..."my god we suck!"

I am reminded of when, long long ago, everyone was crying for a defensive minded coach. Now we looking for Paul Westhead?

Although I do want the Knicks to add an assistant to get more ball movement, some Knick fans do not understand how important a no nonsense defensive coach like Thibs is. He is who we wanted. At least I did. I also understand that coaches are going to run an offensive schemes to take advantage of their players strengths. The Heat were put together to shoot threes. They have several that can shoot it at high click but may not be able to create on their own. Drive and kick with ball rotation offense is best suited to get them shots. We would need a few more shooters before we can focus on that. Right now we have three players that have an advantage one on one. Despite that, its not like Thibs is yelling at them to hold the ball.

Would also add that if Thibs started a hack a Mitch type strategy with a decent amount of in the fourth and it back fired, some on here would have their pitchforks up.

Aren't you guilty of the same thing you are admonishing by calling the responses to a point "ignorant kickback"? I'm curious how you feel fan forums operate as you seem to indicate that expressed opinions, posts and views should not be challenged and that we all need to hold hands singing Kumbaya to our Knicks brotherhood of fandom. To the point.....Gus expressly said that the Knicks should shop around for a new head coach while Thibs is still the coach. In what world does this make any sense and not illicit some type of response? Head Coaching is a fraternity, they talk to one another....... and unless the FO intention is to get rid of Thibs, why would they do this? Its not like they're shopping for a new car on Carvana.

Martin just asked Knickoftime to leave because he had too many silly posts where the only point was to agitate. (He had informative posts too). there have been others too, but he was just like a week or two ago.

If you (and by you i mean you, and not "one") say something really provoctive, and people call you out on it, then don't be surprised: you provoked a response as you intended. ANd don't act hurt. People do not have to agree with you and you some points for creativity or a participation award, if they think the idea is nuts.

My advice is take your lumps and move on. Benching fournier has proven smarts, and shopping for a new coach is unwise when our current one got us this far with the roster he has
