Players notice these things just like fans do. Nobody wants to be buried on the bench for the better part of a season, after a rough start. Including the playoffs. I dont believe its strategically sound, or a good way to recruit veteran FAs.
As I said much earlier in the season. I hope the FO looks back on how things went (in detail) if they see some good candidates out there, interview them. If they still believe Thibs is the best choice, Im good with that as a fan.
We have Budenholzer and Nurse without a job right now. If there was ever a time to test the waters, see how they might do things differently. This would be the summer. Normally dont have such great candidates available.
I have laid off for a while but when you write ridiculous stuff like this it's hard not to step back in the ring.
What kind of jobs have you had where candidates are interviewed and then management sticks with the current job holder? Really curious to hear your answer.
Also, do you really think management is out of step with what Thibs has accomplished this year?
Thirdly, what were your expectations going into the season? This is at least a conference finals squad? Giannis is out and KD and Booker are about to be trounced and after a huge win your upset the Knicks haven't swept Miami yet?
Try to answer without having a fit.
