I'd still be up for a possible sign and trade of Mitch for KP. Brunson knows KP's game. Much better, and more willing passer since leaving NY. A legit two way center. Staying on the court longer, but of course its a risk.

I'd make this move if Randle stays beyond this season. IDK how many years Brunson can hold up from playing his style of bball, taking all those charges.

KP is going to get a max. Mitch wouldn't be enough cap wise. Would RJ be enought to sucker them? Wiz just fired their team president and the owner put out a statement saying the goal is to make the playoffs, so I'm not sure they're looking to take on more projects.

IHart has filled in well on offense with his movement, energy and great passing.
early on Thibs used his outside shot but that has been taken away for now.
His rebounding and outlet passing fuels the second unit break aways. That and good defense with others!

Yeah, KP could get the max somewhere. Some things would have to go our way. Like KP willing to take less to return to the Knicks.

KP has said that winning a chip' was very important. He already got a max deal. Also said that he didnt really appreciate how special and unique an experience it was playing at MSG, until he left.

Doesnt mean Porzingis would be willing to take less, to perhaps be that last piece. But I'd be happy if the FO at least made the pitch.

Randle played better when he wasnt expected to be the closer. Adding KP would mean even less pressure to deliver.

I think the Wiz are in a desperate enough situation where they almost have to give KP and Kuzma the bag. I think an alternative might be iVuc in Chicago. I think they might welcome Mitch and want to move on from Vuc. He gives you scoring, but you give up a lot on defense. I didn't really follow Chicago much this season, but he was really bad on defense when he played us.

Wiz fired Tommy Shepard yesterday which might change the whole thing. KP has a 36mil player option. Kuzma wants to be paid, and Beal is maxed.
They are not in a good place.

True, but this statement doesn't sound like Ted wants to tear it down.

I like that idea!

It's not that hard folks. You need to get impact play from your skilled positions.

You can't, in the MODERN NBA, have your SF shoot so pathetically from the 3pt line.

Either RJ works his ass off and comes back like a better version of himself- and we have seen flashes of a good player. Or he gets traded and the FO finds a better player.

I'm going to hold out for Mikal Bridges. Brunson and Josh Hart can wine and dine him this off season, he can politely tell management he will leave whenever his deal is up- and the FO can offer Brooklyn a nice package of RJ, OBI, McBride and some draft picks and call it a day.

You put out

Jalen
Brimes
Mikal
Randle
Robinson

with a bench of
IQ
Hart
Hart

and that is a winning rotation that can get to the finals.

It's a nice thought but Mikal is not a free agent until the summer of 2026. They can politely thank him and plan another meeting in two more years.
Maybe Jay Wright starts hanging out and makes Thibs nervous?

I'm also happy to go with the other Bridges.
