Even Jules and Brunson werent on top form, but they did make the plays when needed.I was impressed with Randle. He didnt force the game. He played within the game his first one back and it was a big lift.
All I can say is Josh Hart is the most Knicks player of all time. For anyone that grew up watching the Knicks in the 90s, he is that identity in one player. Never stop hustling, dont take anyone's ****, dont be afraid of anything and give it everything you have, every time.
In general I liked what Randle was doing out there.
RJ got in one of those weird zones he periodically gets into - almost just throwing the ball up to the basket and imagining his teammates will get the offensive board (Which, to be fair, happened a lot). The other stats - the assists and steals, were quite uncharacteristic for him and quite impressive!
Josh Hart has some ferocity to his game. Most “Knick” player since Starks, Made, and Sprewell? And hey, maybe Quickley also falls into the group. Relentless motor. He feels like averages more points than he actually does.
I don’t think anyone minds that he has tweaked the minutes/shots/development of RJ and Grimes - championship this year - and worry about stats next year! I hope those guys pick up some of the tricks in his toolkit. Imagine having 3 guys playing like Hart.
