there will be at least 4 all stars from this class. likely the top 2, and 2 others. maybe brandon miller.
You’re definitely right since 2 are a given. It’s just not the same as originally assumed when this class was talked about having 6-7 players who would have been drafted 1 overall in last years class.
I think it was always a fallacy to assume the top half of the lotto was going to get the equivalent of the #1 overall pick because it is a double draft....
the top of the draft is exciting... yes... but where I think the real value is in this draft is the first 10 picks of the second round. Players drafted their are should be able to play in the NBA, and you get the benefit of a potential rotation player on favorable contract terms. I think you see someone like Desmond Bane drafted around #40 this draft
It is not a double draft and never was close to becoming that. Not sure how that became such a thing. The 2023 draft was talked about years ago as a target because of the CBA opt out, but the nba and players association never got that off the ground. Outside of the top 2 guys, this draft was viewed as having major stars, but the Thompson twins haven’t developed their shooting, Nick smith, Whitmore and Whitehead all have injury concerns, and now Miller has his own red flags. That’s the entire group of potential stars that were talked about.
