Pretty freaking awesome. But what separates us from offense to defense is a Tom Thibs led D about to be full of dogs with Playoff intensity. |

![]() martin wrote:Really good stuff, THREADTweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Wow. Well thought out and stated. Must read. This makes me believe I am wrong about the posts asking for offensive sets. They are clearly learning how to move without the ball and how to create without a set play. The off ball adjustments are there and weren’t really noticeable. This team will become a behemoth. They are building a core of players that know where to be on the court at all times. TLDR, it clips off ball movement and makes the argument that the model of play compensates for the lack of called plays, allowing them to be offensively efficient out of the ISO set. You know I gonna spin wit it

They are not a great 3pt shooting team (although their percentages are improved) They're near league low in assists. Near league high in ISO. Both of these things are one of the reason they're also near league low in TOs. Yet 4th ranked in offense. Some people think coaching is just managing a rotation, but the videos above ARE coaching. Golden State once broke the matrix on NBA offense. Time to start asking if Thibs and his staff have broken the matrix again on NBA offense. Maybe this style is like the Philadelphia Eagles 'push Jalen Hurts from behind for 2-3 yards on 3rd or 4th and 1'. Simple, yet unstoppable? |

I've read the team described as having invested in this type of technology across the board - from cameras in practice down to the raw number crunching and using that to inform style of play. They have certainly maximized their particular talent pool and broke the matrix is a good way to put it. The whole Mitch (and team) rebounding thing is a prime example. ![]() Points Per Possession. I can't really wrap my head around this one and don't know how/where to look this up.
It doesn't feel right but neither do this year's efficiency stats and they both point to the same things. Anyway, fire Thibs cause he is only a defensive coach Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program
