What were the stipulations?
He had to get circumcised.

PhilC, he gets voted to all star game because he plays basketball at a very high level.

For what its worth BKN should just package both him and Durant do a massive deal with picks and yoot. in the right circumstances those two are like "A Championship in a box". Can PHX it? Utah?
Minny?
PHilly? LOL, bring them back together again. Trade Emiid to Nets.

Because he is an amazing basketball player?

If I'm the Nets....I'm looking at Minnesota. one for one swap: Irving for Russell. No picks

Both are expiring contracts and can use a fresh start.

Good for Kyrie. This makes a lot of sense. Without Bird Rights he will be looking to sign a deal as a free agent meaning a limited market and limited money. These kinds of deals usually go down with the player agreeing to sign an extension.

I really don't like people hating on Kyrie. He seems like a genuine human who cares about the little people. I was really impressed to see him signing jerseys at the end of the Knicks- Nets game. I think Ben Simmons is a nexus of bad karma. Who wouldn't want 40 million a year playing next to that guy?

I also think the Hachimura deal has some relationship. LAL would like to keep Rui but doing so kills their cap space.

This could also be a tactic to get Brooklyn to up their offer. Do you remember when Don Draper renegotiated his contract and how bad ass it was? Kyrie gives way more to charity than Don't so let's root for him getting the bag.

Interesting thought but Mavs would have to waive the protection on the pick this year to get something legit done, and I assume the Knicks would agree to that.

Brock Aller would demand a second round pick from Mavs for the Knicks to acquiesce to that

At least. No reason for the Knicks to go easy here.

The Knicks will not be able to handle him. It will become a massive s***show to eclipse the Marbury years.

The only place where they might set his brain straight is Miami between Riles, Spoelstra and Jimmy, but even that is doubtful.

As much as I despise Kyrie and would hate to see him here, he would give us a very legit scoring threat at the 2 similar to what Mitchell would have done.

But when has Kyrie Irving been a SG?

He was a PG in HS. PG @ Duke and has been a lead PG here in the NBA (for 12 now years) along with a career usage of 29.4% (only Bernard King and Carmelo Anthony have ever had higher Career Usage rates in comparison to Kyrie Irving's 29.4%).

I think it'll be hard to teach an old dog new tricks and if anything (just hypothetically speaking); it'll become Jalen Brunson as the combo/off ball 2G (with Kyrie @ the Point of attack PG) similar to how Jalen Brunson was utilized alongside of Luka Doncic @ Dallas.

C; Mitchell Robinson.
PF: Julius Randle.
SF: R.J. Barrett.
SG: Jalen Brunson.
PG: Kyrie Irving.

Looks like an immediate Eastern Conference Championship Contender (as long as Kyrie is focused on winning instead of drama). I'd personally give away 5 1st round picks for him lol.

You're 100% correct.

Well.

There goes (and ends) the Kyrie Irving to New York dreams 🤣❌😅

Well I knew the answer so I was reaching for a bit of wise ass I suppose, but the point is sadly very serious. Besides being a knucklehead (and amazingly talented basketball player), Kyrie threw support to a grossly antisemitic organization on his social media. Don't think Leon buys into that, no matter how much he'd like a few more W's.

Interesting, but remove RJ and insert OG and you may just need be onto some something.

It would also fix the 2nd unit

Grimes
RJ
Obi
Hart

A November 9 email from the Anti-Defamation League to The Grayzone provided a twisted defense of Ukraine’s Azov Battalion. Despite its self-proclaimed “anti-hate” mission, the ADL insisted in the email it “does not” consider Azov as the “far right group it once was.”

I'm sure if the ADL can forgive the neo Nazi Azov battalion, they can make some room for Kyrie linking a movie.

Maybe I'm not understanding your question? What does Donovan Mitchell being a 2G have to do with Kyrie Irving being a PG?

To answer your question.

Donovan Mitchell has been a 2G literally 5 out of his 1st 6 years in the NBA (including this year of 2022-2023). 2020-2021 was the only year where he ran PG full time. And this year it's no different for Donovan Mitchell. Darius Garland is Cleveland's PG.

PS: Donovan Mitchell was also a SG in both High School and NCAA College and even sported #45 as a memory of Michael Jordan because of it (a 2G who he looked up to and idolized growing up).

When has Donovan Mitchell played 2G? His entire career Phil, his entire basketball life has been as a 2G.

Kyrie was essentially the off guard to Lebron's "one" during the Cleveland championship year. He also played off Harden last year.

Yes it is. Did you watch the Finals? LeBron as PG fed Kyrie all day, who focused mainly on scoring.

Shouldnt surprise you, Lebron is a top 5 PG all time.
