OG is the better defender but Grant is superior offensively. It’s a great comparison player wise, although OG is younger and better. But unfortunately the BG and AG (before Gobert and after Gobert) comes into play here. Murray is the baseline deal for a fringe star player in his mid 20s in this market. |

OG is the better defender but Grant is superior offensively. I'd say Grant is better just off his versatility on the court. Also, calling OG a fringe all star players is a leap. Randle, who is having his best season, and Siakam are fringe all star players this year. Murray had a strong case for being a top 10 guard last season. OG has never had a season that good. If OG were that good, the Raptors wouldn't be talking trade in the first place. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

OG is much more like DeAnre Hunter. "winning is more fun... then fun is fun" -Thibs

Grant is the better offensive player and it’s not even close. I hope he doesn’t have any bad feelings about when we drafted his brother |

![]() Cam Johnson... The Knicks don't have a throwaway piece to match that unless the Raps are interested in clearing cap space.

They already Y have a bunch of athletic tweener forwards, but they need shooting. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. ![]() Dejuante Murray was an allStar. OG is not.
Gorbert was multiple DOPY and all star. OG is not. As mentioned, RJ may prove to be better. Many are down on RJ these days. Im ok if we do nothing this week. The hype is off the charts and we are not in contention. Have a plan, stick to it and good things happen. Thing of it is, we don't know the plan. |

![]() Several posters have mistakenly concluded that other posters pointing out RJ's lackluster play and not being held accountable, for wanting him gone. Not me, RJ is talented, tough, and stays confident to a fault at times, but he needs coaching to reach the next level and should remain a Knick unless moved for a difference-maker like an SGA. Some might want him gone, but I think most are just tired of the lack of b-ball smarts in his decisions, which keeps him stuck in his current gear. He has at least another level to hit and deserves time to do so and mature, hopefully in NY. Same with a level-headed Randle. Vets & coaches just need to help them reach their peaks.
A starting line-up of JB, RJ, Randle, Mitch, & Grimes is a damn solid foundation for success, IQ off the bench for sure. I'd add Obi, iHart, & McBride if they stay. Add 1 or 2 rotational players and I see a 2nd round playoff team. Cam is doomed here, Rose seems cooked, Sims is limited but might learn and have a role. I even think EF on the 2nd unit is a damn solid spark plug as seen in Philly. Who knows how the Euro-stash will pan out in the NBA? Plenty of positives for this team, and that is why some posters expect more. Nalod wrote:Dejuante Murray was an allStar. OG is not. |
