It happens. Reddish was a flyer on a weak CLT pick that is heavy protected. Not everything works out.

Nope. EF is better than either of those two and its about wanting him in that line as a shooter. Straight up 2 for one for players they are not really using as I understand.

Lakers have few choices and while EF is not the guy that puts them over the top he'll get good open looks. Bogdonovich on Pistons i have read is possible.
In both cases knicks or pistons have no needs in return. Pistons are tanking and we trying to get to playoffs.

No doubt Fournier is better than those 2. But my understanding is that the Lakers are also trying to create cap space and Fournier is going to eat into that. I don't see Fournier being good enough for them to change that strategy unless the Knicks throw in a better sweetener. It sounds like the Knicks reached out about a Founier and Cam deal and the Lakers politely hung up without laughing.

I think the lakers are thinking they can trade for Fournier to add a little shooting while also gaining an asset to their bare cupboard for another deal. Have their cake and eat it too. Knicks obviously aren’t doing that. Knicks will always be in the drivers seats with these deals. They have the assets and the surplus of rotation players. They don’t have to make a deal.

The guy I still think the Knicks should target is OG Anunoby. Good guess that he isn't on market in any way, know he has got 1 extra year after this and player option. Toronto has a lot of decisions to make over the next 2+ years with their roster, maybe this can shake out. Definitely a guy you would have to back-channel to convince to force his way to Knicks.

High level role player type. All defensive team type guy. Solid SF. Not deficient offensively. Can play small ball PF easily. Fits team style perfectly. Super long, gets in passing lanes just like IQ, Grimes, McBride.

I'd give up just a little less than what was in the Donovan package but still keep the substantial stuff on table for that type player. He is 25.

Honestly he would probably take Grimes’ spot. He is a defensive stopper. If the Knicks added a scorer who didn’t play D like Levine than he would replace Barrett. You have to have that defensive wing in the lineup. Grimes is ours. OG would be treated as an upgrade over him. But I’m talking a hypothetical where neither go out in a trade. I don’t see a scenario where RJ gets replaced generally unless it’s for a superstar.

They will have to make tough decisions next couple of years. OG will be due a big pay day after next season. They have solid players but record is below .500 despite Siakam, OG, Van and Barnes playing big minutes.
Some think Pascal, who already has big financial commitment, and OG are too similar and a bad fit.
Think it's mostly rumors from the disgruntled. They are both solid pieces.

Knicks a slew of picks to choose from, so it's hard to say how that would shake out.

I think someone like Rokas would be a really good fit for Toronto, so he would be included IMO. He fits that international flavor they got going on. Rokas would be a really solid 3rd PG in case resigning those guys don't work out.

Again, Toronto probably doesn't have as much of a budget as most teams and they are looking down the barrel of lots of extensions. I have zero clue what RJ would mean for their team in types of marketing but I'd guess it's light years ahead of where OG is.

I'm cool with letting Grimes shoot out of his slump. He showed he can hit from the NBA level last year and he's showing more facets to his game. Did you see that missed tip dunk from last game? I feel adding guys like who are already getting paid just clogs the cap and prolongs the mediocrity.

Agree about letting Grimes shoot it out. Easy to get into a mild slump after not playing and having high expectations.

Siakim, Barnes and OG are all about the same size and all very good.
How would OG fit with Randle? How much money is he projected to make? He does not shoot long better than RJ.
Or rebound. Or assists. PER is a work in progress for both.
And he is three years older. Where is RJ in three years?
